How to edit a texture (wdt) with SparkIV

 

1. Download SparkIV and click Open or Browse.

2. Open a IMG or RPF file where you may find wdt files.

3. Select the wdt file you want to edit and click Edit at top-right.

4. Select the image you want to replace and click Import Texture.

5. Select from your computer a PNG image.

6. Click Save and Close when you finished.

7. Click Rebuild and then Save.

8. Close SparkIV and play.

How to edit a texture (wdt) with OpenIV

 

1. Download the latest version of OpenIV.

2. Open a IMG or RPF file where you may find wdt files.

3. Click Yes to work in Edit Mode.

4. Select a wdt file and right-click>Edit.

5. Select the image you want to change and click Replace.

6. Select from your computer a PNG image with the same resolution of the original bitmap.

7. Click on Change levels and type 1.

8. Click Save and then push Enter at dos window.

9. Click File>Rebuild and close OpenIV.

i hit rebuild and it made it so there are no cars at all in game not even for the cheat codes.... ne way to get them back with out reinstalling and re modding the cars?

Make sure after you hit Rebuild, you hit Save. And make sure you CLOSE SparkIV after you're done. If you leave it open, no cars will spawn even with cheats.

You may want to mention about Alexander's unlocker for EFLC, as people will become confused when the EFLC file's won't open, other than that this should help a few people out:)

That only applies to text files.

not wdr or wtd files.

It applies to WDR and WDT files like load screens etc ones not in a rpf (I think it's rpf, equivalent to an img)

if so then why did i mod my files before using the unlocker??

 

its only for text files with the ASDF (DONT KNOW WHICH ONE) thingy

 

wdr and wtd files dont have them.
