Plz help me run the game fine!

My laptop is just Core2Duo 2.4ghz 2GB ram Intel 965G onboard 256MB graphics card with pixel shader 3.0

 

I can run games like crysis warhead, prince of persia 2008, assassin's creed, Bully and lot other new games at 800x600 with playable fps and run much better with 640x480 resolution.

 

I tried GTA IV , but the game lags as hell. Not a bit playable, everything's in slow motion as if. Even the above games have the same minimum requirements as GTA IV, but why cant I run the game fine.

 

Even 640x480 res option isnt available!

 

What shall I do? I am presently running vista sp1.

 

If is there any way to play the game in 640x480 and increase the performance of the game on my laptop, plz do suggest. I have been waiting for this game after san andreas. The game looks beautiful, but i only need the performance and not quality.

 

There was an option in san andreas resolution of 1024x768x16 and x32. When on x16 bit the game wud run super smooth at 12800x800 resolution but in 32 bit it wud lag a bit. So why isnt such option available in GTA IV? Can we make the game, run in 16 bit? If yes then how? That wud solve all the lag problem.

 

Or if any better tricks or suggestion to make the game smooth on my machine, plz do suggest. I cant remove the shadows from the game, even in the lowest settings.

If you texture quality is on high change it to medium lots of people say that helps up the FPS.

I havent seen anyone run GTA IV with a Intel Integrated, there just too weak

The intel integrated on 965G is good enough. I can games like crysis and prince of persia 2008 on it, then y GTA IV wont?

 

Plz help how to reduce resolution to 640x480, or to 16bit.

try this:

 

Go to the folder you have installed the game, you will see file named GTAIV.exe

right click>properties>campatibility>check the box that says "Run in 640x480 screen resolution">apply>ok

 

try to run the game and see if it works.

 

I have'nt tryed it so I cant tell..
