l3ritish_l3eef Posted January 2, 2009 Share Posted January 2, 2009 (edited) ***SPOILERS*** I recently started a new save after not recieving the phone call after dropping of Gracie in the kidnapping mission "I'll take her". All was going well on my new save until I smashed into a police car during the mission "Ivan The Not So Terrible" and to my suprise the police ignored me, so I completed the mission pulled out my phone dialed 911. When the police arrived I shot the car up and again no wanted. So basically no matter what I do the police ain't interested. During the mission "Russian Revolution" when Dimitri and Bulgarin leave the warehouse you are supposed to get a two star wanted level, well that don't happen but you can still here the police saying "give your self up" and "the place is surrounded" and even shooting, but as soon as I leave the warehouse the police just ignore me and jacob. So has anyone come across this glitch before. I think I remember reading the same thing happening in SA. And why is my game messing up. I have an original copy, pre-ordered from Game, and the game plays reasonably well considering. Any help!! zmoonchild Posted January 2, 2009 Share Posted January 2, 2009 I believe that it might have something to do with the mission exploits; I had a similar experience on a very earlier story mission (I don’t remember which one)… Wanted Levels are limited or fully removed depending on how the mission is scripted. On the mission that it happened to me, I tried going into a locked area, but I still got a 6 Star Wanted level there. Here’s P.D. Well I was going to suggest restarting GTA 4, as you may have alt+tabbed out to ask this question on the forum, but thought I may as well go for the whole machine, you never know. GTA 4 isn't exactly the most predictable game. I do have 3 more ideas you could try, 2 involving the save game data. But it's probably not intelligent enough for you. Maybe a few more details in your first post would of got a more polite reply. Anyway i appologise for my rudeness. I have continued with the save and everything else in running fine, but getting bored with no response from the police even thou I have some funny clips recorded Maybe I'll get around to releasing a decent video one day. Or does it not even come up? I would suggest: -Restarting GTA 4 [done] -Restarting your PC [done] -Using the raise wanted level cheat -Using the lower wanted level cheat -Saving to a new save file -Making a new game, then loading your old save -Back up your saves [properly. be careful] and reinstall GTA -Bitch at Rockstar until they fix it If it bothers you, you should try everything physically possible which could have an effect. l3ritish_l3eef Posted January 3, 2009 Author Share Posted January 3, 2009 Cheers for the suggestions but I just done the mission "Blow Your Cover" with the swat team in the stairwells and roof. Well after leaving the building the police again were not interested so no 3 star wanted level but after dropping playboy off on the 3rd island I popped into MODO's and after a bit of shopping I got my money back from the till and the alarm sounded and at last wanted level has returned.
