I was wondering if we could make it an unofficial rule of sorts to at least add a little bit about the song you're rating? I've noticed for a long time people just leave their scores and post another track, which is technically the purpose, but it doesn't tell anybody anything about what you actually thought. Why have you rated it the score given? Did you like it, what was it missing, was it too long? Not only does this contribute more to the topic rather than just a numbers game, but it adds a

Little backstory about the song.

 

When released in 1983 it was first only for nighttime play because the record company thought the lyrics were too risqué :miranda:

 

After a week the record company got calls from all around the country to play the song for daytime airplay :panic:

 

They had to edit one line to allow it to be played on daytime :music:

 

Can you imagine that Mtume got sued by Juicy Fruit Wrigley's chewing gum? :whuh:

 

Sir, what do you mean by... you can lick me everywhere? :angry:Obviously it's not about the gum :cool:
