Sounds like the intro is Jello Biaffra, singer of Dead Kennedys. People might love him, or hate him, but I always find him more interesting to listen to then Henry Rollins, no disrespect to anyone, just my opinion from what I've heard over the years.

It's pretty brutal, I was commenting on YT about what constitutes Grindcore and Death Metal, other sub-genres. I think you could put it in the Grindcore genre which to me is sonic resemblance of punk and Death metal influences. Hardcore, Metalcore, all sub-sub genres that aren't too dissimilar, and I'd put Black Metal in there too.

Sounds somewhat like vintage Bathory as an example of what some people call early Black Metal

7.5/10

I gotta put some Rolling Stones in this topic, it's been too long ignoring the best of the best...

edit: I was rating that Panopticon song and got ninja'd.

One of my all-time favorite Rolling Stones songs definitely deserves a 10.

That was a long song, so it's possible more then one person reviewing at once. Anonymous member Ninja me, perhaps.

Not really finding much to like about your track, no offense of course. I don't personally see the appeal as it lacks a melody that grabs my ears.

I'm keeping up my Stones theme. They really have to tap into their 60s / 70s musical muse, since I think the new Stones is getting too bland. A problem I'd see with your track, sounds too bland and that wrecks rap music where you need something major to stand out amongst the din

3/10

I much like The Zombies perhaps, most significant hit.... some might say

10/10, if not higher!?? haha

Here's a classic as well, remake, but just as good me thinks. Runaway's Joan Jett

Original Tommy James 1968 track for comparison, they both differ musically, so it's worth checkin' em both out

Nice classics and love to see Joan Jett and her heartwarming voice. I would call it the best cover she did. 9/10. As for the original version of the song, it's okay as a matter a fact, 8/10.

Been listening to some death metal songs from Carcass, Autopsy, Death Breath, etc. I would say that the Carcass' classic is much better though they're still awesome with their new album, Surgical Steel. This track is from their 1991 album Necroticism - Descanting the Insalubrious.

Carcass - Incarnate Solvent Abuse

8.5/10, pretty exciting song, but it lacks something that would make it perfect compared to others of the same genre. Not sure what exactly.

One of those Soundscape bands played with Pink Floyd, might have been these guys? It was a pretty rare cross over, actually not PF per se, but David Gilmour, their guitar player.

As long as it's not dance music! haha Disco was horrible, but you can still find some gems among all that late 70s music, for example.

I got a song bearing my sister's name (eldest) and had hoped to find Adrian Legg's title track to Guitars and Other Cathedrals, but it's not on YTube.

9/10 I used to listen to this song when I woke up and when I went to sleep everyday. Man Cube was good back in the day.

Guy looks like Jack Johnson, seem him on Palladia.

Acoustic music can appeal to more people I'd say.

7/10

I'd heard of some of these new artists but not really listened to much of it, I'm pretty stuck with what I like, but it covers decades, and not always getting attention or airplay.

This song NEVER ever grows old, I think when I first heard it, I didn't know it was REO because Kevin wasn't signing

Logo reminds me of Japan's most prized export... Loudness.

I'm not sure what to make of it though, the vocals aren't really up my alley, musically, sounds a bit like the days when Steve Vai was in Alcatrazz (remember them in Vice City soundtrack??)

I'm more partial to Modern Day Cowboy from Tesla though! haha 5.5/10

I like the rating you gave REO song, I spelled 'singing' wrong though, Oh well..

More Waysted, rare long missing from YT track with Danny Vaughn on vox, he of Tyketto fame ^

I like it. It's real catchy, but it doesn't have anything to set it out from other 80's rock, unfortunately. 8/10.

I know some kid was into Modest Mouse last year in school, but I could never get into it. It just sounds like your run of the mill indie rock bands. 3/10

7/10 I used to listen to German music a lot, very upbeat, but my German is a bit rusty.

I never knew Tupac's mom was in jail. Come think of it, I think this is his only song that isn't about being a gangbanger slum rat. 8/10

Very upbeat and funny, I like it. 7/10, and 2pac was more of an activist then a gangster as much as he liked to portray himself as such, he was very positive to a lot of young people to stay out of drugs and the streets.
