Someone posted about Randy Newman topic here earlier, he went from near novelty act to serious soundtrack music maker.... though I think he's always been seriously...funny, and as well, songs that have deep meaning, that can be taken seriously as well... Going to throw up my fav song by him here.

 

But to rate this and add mention for Rob Zombie, have to respect him, movie maker, visionary artist, nice guy with horror in his blood. You might even prefer his movies to his music, either way, I tend to prefer old White Zombie as a band, a whole, like Sepultura

 

For the above, not familiar with them, but it sounds a bit less like METAL you might expect, Heavy Rock slash METAL, combining influences
