^8/10, I actually didn't expect to enjoy it, but it was a good song to be honest, a little slow for me, and a little queer, but it was well executed.

This song is somewhat of a hit in Australia, I remember getting top comment on the video when I referenced the radio in Canberra which was playing it as an underground song at first haha, I like it because it's true, and it's great to listen to when you're drunk because everyone knows it now.

I kid, I kid. tounge.gif

7/10 - Slightly better than most of the crap that is pop now, as you said is quite a well known song and would be seemingly good for a get together. Quite a good clip too.

David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust (1972)

One of my favourite Bowie songs. 9.5/10

7/10. Not something I would listen to everyday, but it's pretty good.

Not too shabby. The intro sounds a bit funny, as though it's been slowed down, and I'm not into that bit, but from where the beat kicks in it's pretty decent. Not exactly what I'd expect of Justin Trousersanke, but it's alright. I'll give it 6/10.

This one comes courtesy of meta. Excellent track.

Are we allowed to put our own songs on here for a rate? Because I just finished one and would like some feedback. smile.gif

Anyway, to the track above, I would give it a 6/10 although it's not my kind of music.

Well if it's a cover song, then you could put yours and rate it with other members. @TheGreatGig23 has also done it here to as well. smile.gif

Since you are asking a question, I'll continue it here and let someone rate your song here after posting it. Anyway I'm listening to Stevie Wonder's songs lately. Always find his musics so much reliving.

7/10 I like the funky and groovy feel to it. Sort of reminds me of GTA V, but probably just because the second trailer had a Stevie Wonder song in it. I bet it would go perfectly in the third trailer. icon14.gif

Anyway, I'll just post my song (it's not a cover, it's an original) and it goes against the rules or something, I'll post a different one. I'd like to know what people think of my stuff. It's metal, so don't rate unless it's your style of music, please. smile.gif

8/10 - That wasn't half-bad. In the words of Salvatore Leone: "I see nothing but good things for you my boy". The piece reminded me a lot of the Death Magnetic album. I'll definitely be looking out for more of your stuff in this thread. Good work Jeff Seabolt. tounge.gif

7/10 It's an okay song, nice guitar tune and metal genre. The intro was also groovy to hear and then when the song begun I was totally blown away. Well what can I expect for a metal song anyway?

A song that everyone really love of. The most phenomenal song of Queen yet and features a number of unique genre that does not destroy the rock theme. Kudos to them.

9/10 - Men at Work on a hard rock station? Blasphemy!

But seriously, that's a timeless tune and always gets an Australian such as myself all patriotic for the few minutes it's playing, my forum location is a reference to that song actually. I don't think the tune will ever get old.

I had to jump on this one and rate it before someone else gave it a poor score tounge.gif

Absolutely 10/10.

One of my favorite songs from the 90s and that's saying a lot.

I remember feeling sorry for the poor bee girl in the video because everyone was laughing at her at the beggining sad.gif haha, but I was always much happier by the end biggrin.gif

Many fond memories of this one, but also being upset and confused by Shannons death.

I'll go with another one from the era:

Not bad, guitar rhythm got a bit repetitive but it's alright. 7/10.

Sticking with the 90s theme. Smashing Pumpkins - Today (1993)

Ahhh...? I've tried and I just tried again. Smashing Pumpkins always sound like songs for teenage girls that pretend suicide for attention. Gonna be a dick and go all sorts of 4/10.

8.5/10 - Twice in a row I've got to rate some cool Aussie stuff. Love MGF and love that song for its obscurity, good pick..

7/10. Sounds quite good. I just find the lyrics strange at some points.

8/10 - Love me a good bit of Queen, despite the extreme corniness in that clip and Roger Taylor's ridiculously stupid shots. lol.gif

9/10 - The Hippie actually got me into Jefferson Airplane a month or so ago, and I loved that one. The (I assume it is) sitar create at a vibe like no other. Their vocals are always top notch and the slow beat is great. Very good song. smile.gif

Creedence Clearwater Revivial - Fortunate Son (1969)

It was different than the music I listen, but it was okay. 6.5/10.

Now, some mainstream music. tounge.gif

Or if you just want to listen to the song (which isn't as long a the video):

I always feel bad when I don't really like something and go with a low rating. It isn't that I am old and cranky either - heck, I enjoy stuff like Regurgitator and stuff.

5/10 It was just lacking good enough music to cover the standard/basic style rap'ing lyrics.

Sorry to break away from mainstream. Here is some Little Feat.

Good upbeat tune. Never heard it before but it gave me a good first impression. 7.5/10. Heres a video that suits your song. f*cking eh there's a fatman in the bathtub.

Anyway, for my next song, I give to you: Moby Grape - Skip's song (1969)
