That remains one of my favorite orchestra songs of all time. But, unfortunately, it is so overused... and I gotta lower the rating to 9/10.

Everything about that song screams "I'm truly awful, please end me", but for some reason there's a great novelty in it and one can't help but keep listening. Still, I love the oddity of it all so I'll give it 6/10.

 

Inspired by the 80's thread, I started listening to Duran Duran's "Hits" album and felt bad that I'd completely forgotten about this incredible song. A masterpiece of pop music.

 

 

Produced by Nile Rodgers, that's there the funk comes from

 

Don't know much Butthole Surfers but what I heard is good. 8/10

8.5/10 - Very enjoyable and relaxing. I love that style of music and that was probably the most fitting. Good choice.

Couldn't watch that particular video as it said it was blocked in my country. I did youtube it and found that same song, one I could listen too. That was the The Beverly Hills Cop theme. I don't really like electro style music but since I'm familiar with that track it kinda stuck with me. I'll be humming that all day now, hah. 7/10.

I like the song. It sounds really fresh and her voice is really lovely. The video is kind of cool too. Bjork is one of these artists that I really like but I'm too lazy to check out properly. I might get to do that soon after hearing this song. 10/10

 

 

 

There are probably not many dubstep fans around here. I'm not a big fan either but this song has a nice bassline and piano melody.

6/10 because the piano is quite nice but not really my style.

I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting, but that song was a lot better than I thought it'd be. Love the bass, love the dude's voice and rhythm, love the melody of the intro. All in all, it's a very simple song and I like that, there's no feeling of trying too hard, he just does it. 9/10.

Aaaw I saw the title and was kinda hoping for a rendition of Take me home, country roads. Alas, t'was not to be. Still a good song though, though I admit I'd never heard it before. Nice and easy to listen to, got a nice melody to it. The song's also got a meaning to it, which I always like. 8.5/10

 

This song is rather apt, considering the bloody weather right now. But it's also just a good song that I like.

Although the vocals didn't really do much for me, that guitar solo was just so damn good that I had to go back and listen to it again immediately. Also, it's nice to hear a different side to Judas Priest. All in all, I enjoyed that so I'll give it 8/10.

 

Sticking with metal artists calming things down a bit, here's one of the greatest singers known giving an incredible performance of Stone Sour's "Bother". I implore everyone to check this out.

As for trip's song...that was a weird song and video. So weird that I would probably prefer not to hear\see it again (which is saying a lot coming from me). It's not a bad song per se, but it is not the kind of theme I like in a song or video. 7.5/10

Cheers, man. I tried to find out where I went wrong. I definitely need to sort out this monitor-being-5ft-away issue.

 

Anyway, back on topic. I think it would be immoral, wrong, and just plain disgusting to give that song any less than a 10. I'm not a massive Queen fan per se but that song has some major memories attached to it and seeing Freddie Mercury sing it live (on DVD, not actually there) just convinced me that he was perhaps the best frontman of all time.

 

For my choice I'm going to go with some good ol' Metallica. This song is just so damn brutal and heavy and I just freakin' love it.

One of Metallica's more underrated songs, there was a reason this song was supposed to be a instrumental at first, the music without the vocals is already great, but with the vocals as well it makes the song perfect 10/10

 

 

 

Great song that went with a great movie.

^ 8/10, the voice was perfect and the tune had a nice flow to it, it was a nice song.

 

 

 

Nightlight is another underrated song by Little Dragon. It's quite amazing for me, shame it's so underrated.

Yeah, that kind of music is very popular around here. The singing is horrid because the accent is fake. The tune isn't bad but coupled with the lyrics it makes for something that's too generic and not worth listening. I'll give it a 7/10 because there are still some good parts in there.

Hehe, I looked up the soundtrack to a 1999 game called Urban Chaos and this song plays there in a club, on the soundtrack page someone said who's song it was and where it came from, so looked up the full version.
