6/10, I quite enjoyed that despite what I've heard about them, they have a slight Job For A Cowboy vibe to them at the beginning. I'm sure if I was in the mood for something like this I'd have given it a 7, but I'm feeling really mellow at the moment.

Ten outta ten. As I'm sure you know Bart, that's one of my favorite Madness songs...pretty much exemplifies everything about the band that makes them great, and it's one of their newest releases nonetheless...plus the allusions to Usual Suspects in the video are priceless.

6/10. I quite like a bit of Scissor Sisters, despite how tragic everything by them is. It's like if Morrissey was left outside in the rain while his family went to Six Flags Magic Mountain. This was good but it's by no means one of my favourites by them.

Wow. I've listened to a lot of avant garde sh*t in my day but that's ridiculous. 3/10. In it's defense though, I'd rather hear that than some gay Lady Gaga sh*t... but that's not saying much.

 

 

 

This is the opening track off Sly Stone's There's A Riot Goin' On album from 1971. I never considered Stone's music, only having heard sh*t like Everyday People, but I read about this album in an article about the best albums from the 70s. It is indeed great and an album I haven't stopped listening to for months, good pure music.
