4.5 out of 10.0. If there is one band that I hate, it's The Police.

Here's definitely one of my favourites from Led Zeppelin

Haha, anything after Reggatta de Blanc, I don't much care for.

As for the overplayed Zeppelin tune, I'll still give it 7/10 just because it's Zeppelin, but I can't listen to the radio around here for more than a few hours without that one popping up it seems.

I've been cycling through a Down kick lately, so here's one off their second album (which is clearly an homage to Zeppelin).

6/10 Quite DULL really. It doesn't really climax, like a slow burning song should. In fact, it doesn't go anywhere. The riffs are pretty cool in some places though.

Really digging this song at the moment.

Not feeling it. 4/10

Just heard this on the radio, been a long time since I listened to it.

5/10. Pearl Jam was one of my favorites back when I was in the 7th grade and they had only 2 albums released, but it's one of those bands I outgrew and I'm left feeling totally neutral when I listen to them now.

Yet other bands from my youth stood the test of time a lot better, such as Pantera, so here is my favorite Pantera song, hands down:

5/10, I remember Pantera being one of the first metal bands I heard and I liked their energy. I found the popular songs had real energy and drive, so I'm rating for pure nostalgia because I've outgrown them somewhat. I remember me and my friend swapping CDs, including some Pantera albums, Melvins, Primus and NOFX. Good times. Unfortunately, much as Xcomm feels about Pearl Jam, I feel much the same with Pantera - they're good songs, but they do little for me.

I'm liking that Beats tune, though Ima Stones fan.

I vote it 7/10 in their catalog.

More UFO classic, and when I say classic, I ain't lyin'

8/10. I've always been fond of BOC.

Now typically, I don't consider myself a fan of country music mainly because the garbage that's passed as country for the last 20 years or so makes me cringe in agonizing auditory torment, but go back to it's roots in the days of country & western and I like it, so it's great to see Hank III bringing it back.

Country has always been one of my least favorite genres, I'm usually pretty open minded but it just doesnt do anything for me.

Huh, when I saw Deadmau I thought I was gonna listen to some heavy dubsteb, because as a person unknown to this genre, yeah I heard he's dubstep or something. Kinda boring song though, needed more electronic vibe 4/10

I've admired her voice since seeing her in Elf, but to be honest the song did nothing for me. 4/10

@Slamman - I don't think I did, but to be honest I've seen quite a few songs get reposted here. I'll make sure to post something a little more obscure this time. I doubt this choice is going to get a high rating unless the next poster is a Scrubs fan:

P.S. The song itself begins around the minute mark.

How dare you call him a dubstep artist. tounge.gif

He is legendary.

However 5/10 because that song was unentertaining but for looks......

EDIT: ME AND 02FISHERA POSTED AT THE SAME TIME. WELL ALMOST.

Response to Fishera's 7/10 we all have that bromance, don't we?

Mister Pink

No offense, I'm a little biased. I find Deadmau5 a little overrated. I mean the music is quite simplistic, repetitive to be honest. Not that they're bad things, I like some minimal techno and Electronica but I suppose I find him a little commercial and a bit poppy for my taste. I do like the track I Remember though. Lovely track. Not really going to rate this, my words say it all.

Posting something completely different.. All you Hip-Hop heads will know this track as it was sampled by Jurassic 5 on Concrete Schoolyard.

Love Ike. I love all "black" music. God, I hate that term. 9/10

Say what you will, many of you will recognize this tune, but to this day, it stood with me, much like the other tunes from this station. Rockstar has seriously good taste in music.

Really? A song that is not. Sounds, synth and sun.... 3/10

Just not at all something I'm entertained by, or enjoy, but it's not entirely harsh, it's just too much Drone, on and on... I was never a fan of the MSX thingie in GTA 3

I think the licensing really added vitality to GTA, and more then one person works on the music end of things with GTA, so there are varied opinions that are not all in union there as well

Some T and A, since it's long overdue!

Always been a fan of the Stones, but I can't say that's one of my favorites. 6/10.

Here's a trip back to the early roots of blues. Robert Johnson inspired many musicians for many decades after his time.

Hell yeah! Love the 86 movie that I felt inspired people on the blues, if they weren't really prone to the musical outlet

9/10

Here's a YT'ers best run-thru, using the classical piece, VERY impressive when you see how it's a challenge to pull off

Vai played Ralph's parts, but earlier in the film, Ry Cooder did the slower numbers that Ralph plays, I don't think he's really played much of any guitar, unlike Micheal J. Fox, who does actually play guitar!

Can you please post an actual song next time? Also, POST ONE VIDEO, NOT TWO!!!!

1st video: Eh, I give it a 3/10. They have talent, but I'm just not a fan of single instrument songs. I prefer the layering of music. Much more interesting.

2nd video: That guy isn't that great. He makes a few evident mistakes

And again, stop posting more than one video.

Hands Like Houses are amazing. So much talent. The only problem I have with the album is the production, which I have with pretty much every album I've heard from the producer.

This reminds me a bit of Yes or XTC.

5.0 out of 10.0; only because it's Mario and Mario is the sh*t.

Here's the original, 8 minutes plus version of Slow Ride...

...or if you don't have the time, here's the cut version.

Great song, and it has to have a bonus point for being on GTA too.

9/10

I'll throw in an odd song, that has an interesting history. Remember hearing it as a kid, and loving the start of it...the rest is quite forgetable though.

Josh, you're not Tank, nor a Moderator, The idea is to showcase music you care about strongly, and the point went over your head since it's a complex song to play and of course, someone trying to replicate it will make some mistakes. If you think you can pull it off, by all means prove it to us/me

That said, you only need rate the main showcased song, additional embeds are optional. GET IT??!

Ok, Back to Bowie

Yes, it's one of his all time best, And oddly, Elton John tried to sue him because of his own song about being 'lost' in space, though they don't sound at all alike to my ears

9/10

The Destruction song I think is one of the Master Classics of METAL, the riff always plays in my head, in recent months for sure!

8.0 out of 10.0. Lit up the volume to max on that last one! I hope the neighbours don't phone the police! anuj_cop.gif

In respect of the life of Michael Hossack, here is The Doobie Brothers. Rest in peace. †
