9.0 out of 10.0. That's a great live version of More Than A Feeling.

Here's one of my Clapton all-time favourites.

I can't get the link or video since I'm on my iPod. But one song is;

Cold Hard Bitch - Jet

And another is

Hotel California - Eagles

And my third, is my favorite song of all-time

Hells Bells - AC/DC

Pick a rating, and for me, Not a fan of Jet, to be honest, it's not as comparable to classic rock as say, The Black Crowes in comparison, and they rock!

Eagles and AC/DC choices? 11/10!!! hahaha

Ok... I picked one outta my hat, This is a DEFINITE CLASSIC, updated in Hi-Def too, thanks to some caring individual on YouTube. I have a messed up (eaten Beta tape recording) of this same video, marred by bad UHF reception to begin with! lol.gifcatspider.gif

While its certainly not a bad song, its not one that particularly appeals to me. 5/10

As it was overlooked by someone who just decided to just list a few songs rather than actually rate it and contribute, I'm gonna stick with The Clash:

7.5/10 Can't say I like the lyrics that much but I also can't say that I hate the music, it was good for listening.

When you post a song with more than 20 words then you can complain about lyrics, 3/10 from me there I'm afraid, don't really like songs with no lyrics.

Here's one I just learned about today, like it but not quite my favourite.

While the premise was interesting, I struggled to get into the piece if I'm being honest. 6/10

Again, on iPod, so no links.... But.

Honest Mistake - The Bravery

(I'll get a link if I can)

4.0 out of 10.0. Nothing special at all. That song truly was a mistake.

I'm not a big fan of Fleetwood Mac, but God damn this song is good!

In the modern Mac, Lindsey Buckingham is a major component of their sound I think, more so then Stevie Nicks or Mick Fleetwood.

7/10

SODOM's classic

Gotta love the lyric "Fresh blood of Children drops down on me"!

I don't normally complain on low ratings but I guess I didn't make myself clear as to why I didn't really like the lyrics. There are many types of rap songs, some that I like, some that actually do have some sort of deeper meaning, but there are also songs whose lyrics are about gangs and stuff, and that honestly doesn't sound like something I want to hear. To sum it up, a lot of the times it's stupid sh*t about "the streets" or whatever.

If you bragged about my song that it had too few words, then you missed the point of the song; it's the music that's important.

I think that music, actually sounds are more important when it comes to a song. Lyrics without music is just poetry, if they rhyme.

I get you on the first part, but for me, a tune without words feels empty, like there's something missing. Words. But anyway, I'm not here to tell you what to like.

7.0 out of 10.0. I had a pretty decent Tool album when in the '90s. I cannot seem to find it, though.

Don't we all like to just head to sleep and dream?

Not a fav of mine, for the main reason being KQRS radio seem to only know that one song, that's really the only one getting airplay, though certainly not their only success.

4.5/10

Talk about bringing things down, this takes me/you back...

I liked the lyrics of that song, however the music itself, isn't anything special.

8/10, I am honest though.

Top Gun anyone?

8/10 That was quite cool!

This tune has the best melodies ever in my opinion, so freaking epic! Yeah, I know it is a cover, Zelda fans should recognize this.

I concur, I'm posting without a followup, unless you know the song I mentioned with regard to Marching to Mars and the late Ronnie Montrose?? That I think I shall post, but I have another link yet to share

9.5/10

GS has it, YouTube do not... Get to hear it while you can... Montrose on guitar throughout

7.5 out of 10.0. It was pretty decent, but I'm not a big fan of Sammy Hagar's voice.

Here is some Clapton and Cocaine.

Me? Always liked Sammy. Dave too though

As for Cocaine, still a cover song, I suppose over the years liked it more then initially

I have to do it. 10/10. I'm a huge Moody Blues fan and that song has always been towards the top for me.

I may be the only Bluegrass fan here. Even if you hate bluegrass you can't beat the lyrics in this song. I wish I could use it as a response to a lot of threads around this place.

6.5 out of 10.0. Country and/or bluegrass is just not my style. Those lyrics, as you mentioned, you just can't beat.

The Guess Who's only song that I have actually cared for.

Don't say that, ... Good tunes abound, how many are you thinking of? I feel I must apply some more Guess Who here

I always thought he said "American sh*t" (they're Canadian IIRC), as the song fades, as a curse word on radio, like a few songs of my youth, I was surprised and amazed they got away with it (FCC was loose back then), however, the actual lyric is "Goodbye American Chick"

8/10 Hold on for my pick....

I know the bootleg was hard to hear, but it was a nice archive of a show few saw, that tour I missed, I saw the Dirty Little mouth gig though, that's when I met DLR in person and he autographed my CD from that album

Ima share this in the meantime, it's a neat time-capsule with Robin Leach!

This is a joke I believe, but my first git was a Uke!

7.5/10. Never was a huge Clash fan, but their influence is totally undeniable.

From about that same time, here's my favorite from The Police. This is one of those songs that's ingrained into my earliest childhood memories in the early 1980s, which has always given it a genuinely mystic feel even when I listen to it today.
