Not one of my favorites, it was too "sweet" for my taste, love songs didn't click with me! hahaha

6/10

Now, this! Another story

Let me add, Jimi Hendrix was a fan, a tour with them was his idea IIRC, but it failed, he still respected what they did and covered them along with other contemporaries

9.5 out of 10.0. Another great one from The Monkees.

Here is another; a combination of classic rock and sugar rock.

Yeah, easy cheat... You put that in the memorial thread! On par, 9.5/10 classic

I would post Steppin' Stone, Hendrix favored, but I came across some UFO related goodies, need to share this again!!

Waysted is Pete Way, bass of UFO for eons

8.5 out of 10.0. I haven't heard Waysted for quite some time.

Yes has this great rock and sugar mix.

I love that one. I bought one of their greatest hits albums a few years ago and that's on it. Love the change-up in the middle. 8/10

Gonna post two songs because they are the very first records I ever bought. With my own pocket money too!

9.0 out of 10.0. The Selecters are a very under-appreciated group.

Yeah, Not that much, if you consider classic rock radio. It's a staple, however, I love Robert Palmer and Power Station's version!!

8.5/10

Skip to 1:30 on this "live" version, Top of the Pops, Jan 71?!!

Evidence:

More under-rated, I am BEGGING Rockstar to include, Michael Schenker either in UFO, or MSG, or Paul Chapman and Fin More in Waysted, or Phil Mogg and the boyz in a GTA game's radio programme, They've always rocked, despite anything that tries to stand in their way!

The promo has Danny Vaughn from Tyketto on lead vox, the band with Vaughn are set to return with a brand new studio album, so be sure to check it out!!

4.5 out of 10.0. Hated the movie; hated the song even more.

I am torn between which version is better; this cover or the original by Wings.

9/10. Holy sh*t I was impressed. Love the original and not a big Guns and Roses fan so I was totally scared to give this a listen. Like I say - Impressed.

Not my normal style of music, but what the hell....

I quite liked that. I'm really not sure why though. I guess the chorus was pretty catchy mercie_blink.gif The intro reminded me of "Rope" by the Foo Fighters. 7/10.

Anyway, here's a seriously sweet, smooth song to sing you to sleep:

Of the New wave, one of the all time best, like the Ramones were for the punk scene

7.0 out of 10.0. I remember when Billy Talent was known as Pezz back in the mid-1990s.

I'll try to keep the genre at Canadian punk rock.

I've nothing against the man's sexual orientation, but Radio Free Europe is the first song I ever heard, alongside The Plimsouls, who I prefer. Peter Case in that band is still performing I believe

REM called it a day, but as mentioned, that song does nothing for me, prefer this...

3.5/10 for your choice, sorry, buddy

R.E.M is a legend and this song is one of their best. It's something you can't erase from your memory. Beautiful, simply beautiful. 9/10.

Something from different genre:

It was different alright, maybe even kinda freaky, but I enjoyed it a lot. It's something new and I'm always open for new stuff. 8/10.

5.0 out of 10.0 for both of them. Those songs are just not to my liking.

I heard this song for the first time in months on the radio this morning.

No need to apologize, Slamman. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, regardless if it differs with someone elses. Great R.E.M. song choice with Everybody Hurts. I'll give that a very overdue 9.5 out of 10.0.

5.0 out of 10.0. A little to modern for my taste.

I've always loved this song since I was a baby who couldn't walk.

I concur, and thanks for not feeling beat up over your choice, it's one of REM's weakest songs in my book, it's just lacking for me

10/10 on that one! The Grand Funk joke Axl uses in GTA San An The Dust, is just SO APROPOS!

8.0 out of 10.0. The Plimsouls are one of those great bands that are very unappreciated.

Well, everybody likes Boston, right?
