I have to say The_King is wrong again, they rarely play BS' IRON MAN, they would much rather play Paranoid, if anything, and they just rarely play Sabbath on US radio, I don't know where the heck your listening but it just ain't happenin' here. Heaven and Hell and Dio see some airplay, but never enough to get burned out on!

 

As for rap and hip hop, I could relate to dance only if the music works, I don't look for back ground music, I don't look to dance to a number, I want music that speaks to me, for me, moves me.

 

That said, I wasn't going to rate a rap song but now I have to I guess. Remember as well, what you're weened on makes a huge difference, but I can tell no matter what someone's age....there is a SERIOUS problem with music since 1995, I keep seeing that cut-off date for general musical malaise happening all around. The VMAs should have again proved the point

I'm pretty indifferent to it. it's nothing I'd ever seek out, but I don't actively dislike it. It does feel very 80s, when this type of music was still finding its feet. The video only furthers that feeling.

 

Only previously heard this girl from her (very good) vocals on a Chase and Status track, but she really has got a nice, very slightly unusual style, both vocally and visually, that I'm really enjoying. It's a brilliant example of understated beauty for me.

 

(This particular remix was featured on a Renault Clio ad, if you recognise it from somewhere)

I quite like it. It's not often that something with that sort of sound from that era appeals to me either. It still holds up pretty well nearly 20 years on, especially when you consider the "novelty" factor that gets assigned to groups like an all female rock band. You'd expect them to be forgotten pretty much this far in the future, but that song is something you occasionally hear every now and then as a request on the radio or at a family-oriented do. Also, as pointed out a few times in the comments its got a similar sound to Lady Gaga's Yoü and I (linked in my sig), which I'm in love with at the moment, so I couldn't really not like this.

I did rate your song. I'm sorry if you couldn't tell from what I wrote but I just didn't care for it. I find it a lot easier to write about what I actually hear rather than just assign it what's likely to be an arbitrary number. And if I write something I prefer that it actually gets read, and sticking a number on the end would mean most people just skip the blurb and read the number.

The thing is with songs like the above is that she has a really good voice which I admire; only that I could never name a time whether I be happy or sad where I would listen to this. It seems to be a sort of song that somebody broken hearted or down would listen to. Since we've all been there, i'll give it a 7/10, mainly for her voice.

 

Now I know not everybody likes Lady gaga and this generations music but this song makes me happy in the fact that it reminds me of something sad and terrible that has happened to me.
