I was wondering if we could make it an unofficial rule of sorts to at least add a little bit about the song you're rating? I've noticed for a long time people just leave their scores and post another track, which is technically the purpose, but it doesn't tell anybody anything about what you actually thought. Why have you rated it the score given? Did you like it, what was it missing, was it too long? Not only does this contribute more to the topic rather than just a numbers game, but it adds a little bit more depth and meaning to the songs being shared. Just a thought, I'm always interested in what people think of some of these shares, and it is a little disheartening when you post a song and somebody just leaves a number and goes on to post their own. I don't know about you but I'd much rather receive criticism over a song than nothing at all.
As for the song itself, it's quintessential 80s really. The opening is iconic and infectious, those synth and bass stabs really breathe life into it. I do prefer the longer 12" mix but only for the build up which could go on for as long as it liked for all I care. Those that like the song might be interested in hearing the warp mix which makes subtle changes in the ordering and timbre. If you hadn't heard the original for some time, you could be fooled into thinking this was it. Anyway, I'll give the song a 7.
