I feel for you dude, but there's nothing "topo" about the 9600GT. I'm sorry to report, but that card does not make use of the 1gb. What shops are YOU going to? you can buy a 4870 for $300 in australia... that's quite irrelevant since the 8800 ultra is on avarage probably double the price of the 4870. anyway, i'd go for the 8800 from the seller in this thread. the price is awesome, too good to be true. any type of 8800 card is good enough for this game anyway, and i wouldn't be surprised if the 8800 ultra would actually outperform most other single gpu's since for some reason, gta iv seems to be magically optimized for that series, judging from all the benchmarks. Some 8800's are a lot slower. some can have 96 shaders, the more shaders the more power. But cpu does have to be good too to make a good difference.
