I really would like to uninstall all that games for windows live sh*t as I don't ever play online. I already uninstalled rockstar social club and the game still starts fine thanks to this nice tool. Enjoii Posted February 22, 2009 Share Posted February 22, 2009 I don't suppose xliveless deletes your saved game file if you just so happen to be a dumb arse like me and completely forget to move it...even after reading that part in the readme before hand? because I noticed it's disappeared around the same time I installed xliveless. Once there, double click on: Users, then the name of your computer's account, AppData (make sure you're able to veiw hidden files), Local, Rockstar Games, GTA IV and there you should see savedgames. If you have your saves in the "user_#" folder, then they won't show up. ElChabby Posted March 8, 2009 Share Posted March 8, 2009 (edited) I think I made a mistake... And I somehow need help. So I saw some players using special models such as Niko in Multiplayer mode... So I started searching about that and I found Player Selector. Then I found out that I needed the Asi loader Xliveless. So I downloaded it, read the ReadMe file, did what it said. Then I loaded the game... To find out that yes, the Playerselector works perfectly... But all my savegame files were gone : I was starting a new game instead of appearing at the last mission I did. Then I checked again the ReadMe files and found that the savegames were now located to : [user]/Documents/Rockstar Games/GTA IV/savegames/ ...But still, not any traces of my old savegames set. I'm a bit worried because I was almost at the end of the game and it's frustrating to see our savegames disappear like that without any explanation. Now, my questions are : 1- Where are my old savegames? 2- If I forgot to move them before installing the game (if I had to?), how can I get them back? 3- Would it be possible to run Player Selector in Multiplayer and how? EDIT I had my answer for question 3... By using another .asi loader that didn't cut me from Live, I got my savegames back and I could use Player Selector online. Thanks. But Alex´ASI-loader seems to not work with HazardX´tool. So everyone advised me to take xliveless... but now xliveless even doesn´t work. I am a bit frustrated now.. cause I am trying to get that combination to work scince last week. Ok, daytime, I am working, but you know what I mean. To be honest, I would rather like using Alex´ASI-loader. But in some threads I read it would be outdated. And that would be why it doesn´t work with ScriptHookDotNet... Sooo... now I am here.. and that thing doesn´t even work... I play GTAIV 1.0.2.0 on Windows XP-Pro SP3 NetFrameWork3.5 no magic patches or filereplacements. Please... the readme is quite easy... or better the install instruction. I could not figure out what by zeuss enourmous ass I made wrong. I just put the xlive.dll in my main GTAIV game directory. I am currently re-installing IV now to see if I can get it to work again. It does only one thing right, and that is when I start, it does not show a signed in for achievements pop up, but it still doesn't move my savegames folder, and it has to start up the social club when I click on launch gta iv.
