[REL|GTAIV] XLiveLess

My water disappears after adding Xliveless.

Everything works fine but the goddamn ocean in now totally opaque.

XLiveLess doesn't do anything to the gameplay.

It just like a "fake" xlive.dll which remove the GFWL, change the savegame dir, and as an ASI loader.

Black-hawk

Sorry for the double post, but I feel that this problem should be addressed.

Xlive.dll present in the game directory (Imageshack's resize function somehow managed to mess up the aspect ratios):

Xlive.dll deleted from game directory:

The hell is going on? Also, besides the missing water, cars' lights don't show up and at night the lamp posts don't illuminate the streets. Really weird.

can sum1 please help me. I just cannot get any of the savegames 2 work. I have downloaded the xliveless0.95 and copied the xlive.dll from it 2 my GTA IV installation folder. Then I copied the downloaded SGTA400 to my appdata\local\rock* games\GTAIV\savegames\user_e000015ae94c1985\. But the savegame does not show up, it has only the first few saves I made before placing the new SGTA400 in there.

What am I doing wrong here?

My GTA is 1.0.3.0 and using the securom bypass by FEDOR launchGTAIV.exe.

Just finished reading through those 18 pages; this seems to be the awesome mod I've been waiting for.

So basically it's like the GFWL disabler mod for Fallout 3 (http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1086)?

Are all the windows live pop-ups etc gone?

i have installed xlive but cannot load any saved games. i have patch 1.03 installed on a vista 32bit machine sp1 with net 3.5. next to my origional save folder is a newly created folder 1000 1000 1000 1000. if i place sgta400 in that folder the game says check hard drive. in my documents folder there is a gta4 folder,it contains two folders, user music & videos. if i create a folder called savegames and import sgta400 it too will not load. am i missing something obvious, i am currently stumped by this, thanks in advance.

Read the readme.txt that comes with the MOD.

%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\savegames\

the readme gives the above destination for saved games. there is no savegames folder at that destination, if i create one and insert the savegame (sgta400) it says check hard drive. what the mod does do is it creates a new user folder in the origional savegames directory (user1000100010001000). if i insert a saved game in there i get the same result, check hard drive. i have followed the readme to the letter, it seems it's creating a folder in the wrong location? thanks for your reply by the way, i need all the help i can get.

I'm loving 0.95. I recommend it to all my friends who get GTA IV on PC. Anywho, my question is can you use lua scripts with xliveless? Or is it only asi scripts.

lua is related to alice, wich is an .asi file, so to use lua you first need alice, wich is an asi plugin so can be run by xliveless.

Little Psycho
So basically, just download alice and then only throw the alice.asi and the alice folder into my main gta iv dir and now I can use lua mods with xliveless?

Forgive me, I just want to make sure I understand this correctly.

Yeah.
