And anyways, even if it would be stereo, the game have to put the voices in each channels. For example, the telephone and other talkings are on the Center. We're in 2008, did you thought that a game like this doesn't support 5.1? The audio setup lists "stereo" and "headphones". Where do you see "5.1 surround" in this list? I get sound from my sub and what appears to be from centre and L & R, but how can we be sure we're getting proper surround rather than fudged stereo, when the people who made the game can't make the distinction in the audio setup? _RicH_ Posted December 29, 2008 Share Posted December 29, 2008 surround sound is a strange one in this game, i have 5.1 but my speakers are old and only support 5.1 in digital mode, analouge only supports 4 speakers so I have vista in 4 speaker mode. this meant in game I only had stereo option.. wtf.. so the trick is in vista to set it to 5.1 then DISABLE the center and sub speaker so it cant use, now i have surround option in GTA, dodgy! As for things to fix - multiplayer, I dont often rant but its a HORRIBLE laggy mess full of team killing idiots you cant do anything about, and make it easier to QUIT the damn thing - heres the steps from what i remember: press esc, goto game menu, goto leave game, press return, wait for loading.. press esc, press return, wait for loading as its now loading singplayer again WTF!, press esc, press game, press quit, press return, wait 10 minutes for game to quit, quit social club. lerchiosi Posted December 30, 2008 Share Posted December 30, 2008 I want the XBOX PAD-friendly auto cetering on the camera fixed or options added to be toggled on/off ! ie : using strafe keys on foot rotates the camera left and right for some bizzare reason, if i want to walk left i should be able to and not end up running in circles ! the hideous auto centre is much to quick when riding in the car as passenger, however its ok whilst aiming the auto centre whilst driving is much too SLOW ! i want to see what is coming when i turn a corner and not have to pan the camera automatically ! (how they expect u to use the right analog stick on XBOX pad to pan camera, AND use the buttons for braking I DONT KNOW!!!) awful auto-centering on killer in ghost/spectate after u have been killed ..... also, if i want to start a new game in multiplayer lobby DONT FORCE ME TO JOIN OTHER PEOPLES GAMES !!!! i know this is to prevent lots of empty server appearing, but if i want to CREATE a new game for my buddies it should be easy !!! ps.. another small idea is to remove the circles above multiplayer charachters heads with an option to improve stealth in MP pps... why does the traffic always dry up and almost disappear in MP even when traffic set to HIGH ? im pretty sure this is a bug cos it happens even when players count doesnt go over 16.. I understand there is some system where traffic is reduced when more players join (>16) but something isnt working correctly ROCKSTAR ! thanks for your time , i still love this game even tho it runs like a dog on my 1000 GBP system and MP is amazing !!! stevie187 Posted January 1, 2009 Share Posted January 1, 2009 I would like to actually beable to play this game that someone spent thier hard earned money on as a xmas gift for me. But unfortunatly every time I try to play it, rockstar social club locks my system up at the login screen forcing me to reboot. I have not once been able to get the game to load. I have tried all the updates for the game, social club, gfwl, .net frameworks, new drivers, old drivers, different settings, clean format, ran memory diagnostics, disabled all background apps, turned off vista aero, tried everything I can think of but it still locks up every time. Since I can play any other game I donot believe there is any fault with my system and believe this rockstars problem although I doubt they will admit it. angryandroid Posted January 1, 2009 Share Posted January 1, 2009 - FIX THE Z-BUFFER PROBLEM if you mean the flashing stripey shadows on buildings then yes this also, but this is probably a driver issue rather than a game one, so AMD and Nvidia sort your act out! oh yeh and the LOD bugs, fedup of the LOD layers showing up in gun fights on rooftops and in buildings when i make a quick turn This is NOT a driver issue, I repeat NOT a driver issue. I wish they could just add the code in from SA (or something to that effect, where as it would act the same as it did in SA) for the pool mini game. Playing pool just doesn't seem smooth at all. The balls are not functioning properly (i.e. hit the cue into the rail it sticks, doesn't bounce sometimes). Balls are easily knocked off the table, if you hit them a little to hard (especially on corner shots).Playboy X's table has graphical issues (shadows flicking under the balls). I loved playing pool. Now I can't stand to play it. Multi-player needs a reworking. I'm not sure what can be done about that though. Dedicated servers? I just know I can't play for to long before I get CTD.
