Gta iv working online now?

i don't believe it, i got my gta working online now?!

and actually i don't know what the hell i did

eversince the 3 december i've been getting the error message "removed from server" or "disconnected from game session"

But now it's working.

 

All i remember i did was to open ports (which i've done thousands of times now just for gta, to see if it then would work)

88, 80, 2074, 3074, 433 in both udp and tcp.

Then i also installed the "Hamachi" program because my friend told me it could make it work on lan then.

and suddenly when i opend hamachi, and went into gta iv mp custom lobby, there were 50 server, and 48 displayed!

and i could join every single server i wanted to, nomatter how many players inside

 

Dunno if this helps you guys, but give it a try, it won't damage your computer at all.

why ports 2074 and 433? I went ahead and added them but I've never seen them mentioned before

Well, i can't tell you why.

I just saw them somewhere in a forum on GTA IV as well, and for some it worked.

Now i don't know if it was because of the port opening once again it worked, or it was because of the installation of hamachi, but it has worked eversince i made that topic.
