There seems to be a bug when configuring the game's path. The next button is always grayed out even when I select the correct folder. When I try to close the config window, I get a memory leak error. "An unexpected memory leak has occurred. The unexpected small blocks leaks are:

29-36 bytes: TRegistry x 1

93-100 bytes: UnicodeString x1"

I'm on Windows Vista x64.

EDIT: Upon relaunching OpenIV, it had the correct folder and everything. However, I'm getting an error while trying to export AD029_NUCA_2 in the Ads RPF. When it pops up the error and I click OK, the progress bar stays on the screen but does nothing.

Found 2 Bugs:

First bug if i minimize the player to the taskbar and reopen it the buttons are gone... i mean for playing the song and export the file...

and then i tried to open some sfx files and maximaze the program with the little button above the questionmark and suddenly my pc freezes...

i had to restart my pc moto_whistle.gif

and the same sentences here... it would be great if you could add a timeline so that the user can define where to start or just listen through some files without exporting all files wink.gif

but great work :>

and another question. I dont know if it was mentioned before but why cant wtd files be opened which was edited with SparkIV?

I hope both programs will communicate in future cause they are all great inlove.gif

I think your channel mapping for multichannel files is not quite right... how do you decide which channel gets mapped to which speaker?

In my personal tool i look at the channel names, sort the channels in the right order and write a waveformat extensible...

Example:

CUTSCENES/INTROM contains 5 channels: INTROM_ROM1A.RS, INTROM_ROM1A.L, INTROM_ROM1A.LS, INTROM_ROM1A.C, INTROM_ROM1A.R in that order.

The order in the file is random - it should be sorted to L, R, C, BL, BR in the resulting wave file

You can do this for all multichannel files by looking at the name. All 2 channel files have names like *_LEFT, *_RIGHT; 3 channel files have names like *_LEFT, *_RIGHT, *_CENTRE; 5 channel files like INTROM use *.L, *.R, *.C, *.LR, *.LS

Yes, you right, I'm not sort channels in current version.

Unfortunately updates will not be coming soon (at 17th as I planned).

Because my old PC is broke down, a few days ago. Now I buy a new PC... I'm currently install software to new system and copy my files from old hard drives.

In this days i can't work on OpenIV... sad.gif

I've found a kinda wierd bug. When I try to view or edit the m_m_enforcer.wtd file (all other files in that archive work perfectly fine) in componentpeds.img, I get the following error:

Time: "19:33:51"Type: "EZDecompressionError"Message: "data error"Additional information: Address: "0x004C3BF6" Procedure: "ZLibEx.ZDecompressCheck" Unit: "ZLibEx.pas", Line: "641"Stack:[004C3BF1] ZLibEx.ZDecompressCheck (Line 639, "ZLibEx.pas" + 5) + $10[004FCE54] InPlaceWTDUnit.TInPlaceWTD.Create (Line 96, "..\..\..\..\Common Units\RSC\PC\InPlaceWTDUnit.pas" + 1) + $9[005B72A3] RageTextureWindowUnit.TRageTextureWindow.Load (Line 490, "Windows\editors\RageTextureWindowUnit.pas" + 5) + $C[005BB8BB] FileActionsUnit.TEditFileAction.EditTexture (Line 247, "System\FileTypeLibrary\FileActionsUnit.pas" + 9) + $7[005BB9F5] FileActionsUnit.TEditFileAction.Execute (Line 281, "System\FileTypeLibrary\FileActionsUnit.pas" + 12) + $7[005A5D79] DialogsModuleUnit.TActionsModule.actEditFileExecute (Line 836, "Windows\DialogsModuleUnit.pas" + 1) + $22[00494341] Menus.TPopupList.MainWndProc + $1D[0042E094] Classes.StdWndProc + $14

After that error, trying to open the same file does absolutely nothing (other files still work) and when I close OpenIV, I get this error:

An unexpected memory leak has occured. The unexpected small block areas are:13 - 20 bytes: TFileStream x 1125 - 132 bytes: UnicodeString x 1The sizes of unexpected leaked medium and large blocks are: 9772, 32812

Again, I can open all other files in the same componentpeds.img archive perfectly fine, this only seems to happen with that one file.

I have a question/request, if I can ask : is there a way to replace a png with a bigger one ? Like replacing a 512 tex by a 1024 tex ?

Feel free to pm me if you want to discuss about it. Thx.

+1, would be much appreciated. smile.gif

EDIT: Could u add the feature to open, edit, ex-/import the xenon-dictionaries (xbox)

Would it be possible to convert these files to the windows-dictionieres?

Xtd->wtd, so it works for the pc version?

Not now yet, but this will be in one of next versions (not in 0.9.1).

bikerjim_uk, if OpenIV have the same problem does this depend on DXT compression. Currently we can't change (or disable) DXT compression for textures. Maybe in future this ability will be.

I think that is it, thanks for the reply.

Do you know what is the best settings for a dds file to reduce the compression prior to inserting?

I just tried inaserting a dds and got an error - this is not a png, is that normal?
