No problem... biggrin.gif and I just noticed that you added the shader chooser.. really nice job bro..(including Rage_Default)

oh and 1 more question is there any limit to the WTD that OpenIV(the last release) creates?

noelgamo, no we don't have any specific limits in WTD. But you need notice two things:

  • Textures sizes are limited by you video card and DirectX. When you add image into WTD if it big they will be resized to max that support by you video card.
  • Count of textures in WTD is not limited too, but we recommend do not crate too big files (I mean with hundreds of images inside).
  • You can add into WTD these formats: PNG, DDS, TGA, JPEG, BMP

On openiv.com have some news: OpenIV bug tracking system

TheChopShop

there's a tremendous amount of lag/freeze in Max 2012 while exporting substantial wdr's (5000+ polys with multi matts)

same in 2010, but in 2010 it's approx equal to GIMS initial load time, but that's about half the time it takes in 2012..

I know you're in 2011, but thought it worth mentioning

edit- after flippn all the materials into GTA4Mesh, and double checking that each poly material ID for each part ran in correct succession, there's still a lot not showing..

the tower, tower base and cables are finally visible.. but none of the tarmac, walls, bridge or any other parts are.. so I'm assuming that the wpl export is still a bit buggd?

Don't use my dll's. I've never given you permission to use them.

Basterds, not even giving credits where they belong.

Reported for mod theft.

Using other people's work without credit or permission is against our rules. Please PM me (and Shadow) to discuss, or this topic will be binned.

Unlocked since the offending content isn't strictly part of OpenIV.

If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated.

One thing I noticed about OpenIV is after adding a new model to the IMG, trying to View it crashes the program. You have to restart OpenIV to view it.

vans123, we currently working on it, but when it will be done I don't know.

pmillett, that not good. It is always happen? If so can you provide more info, like Windows version, and what files and IMG's you trying replace.

It doesn't always happen. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't a reddish/pink box appears with the error appears. It's with a new IMG for Vice IV.

pmillett, it strange, seems like you trying open WHM file not WTD. (Because in error message, we have text like "Rage.HtmlDocument.")

He do not use any exporters or hex editors, he edit WDR files with using "OpenIV Resource code", like it does openFormats and OpenIV. His research work allow us to make full support of the light attributes in openFormats.

Shame, I would really like to look at the files.

What do you want to see in this files? They are compressed or/and encrypted and you can't extract it without specific programs.

Even if you get RAW data from files this not help to you with getting real models/textures/audio or something else datas.
