Hi, I didn't exactly see a place where there was a "forums" area besides this.

So, I was wondering when the next update will be.

Specifically for the "OpenIV.asi" which is used for GTA:5.

I only ask because it crashes my GTA:5 when I use the "OpenIV.asi"

But, that is the only way to be able to use the modified RPF's.

If you could please get back to me with either a direction to the proper forum.

Or possibly the next release date where the "OpenIV.asi" will be fixed.

There is no plans to update "OpenIV.asi". Because there is nothing to fix.

Your game crashes because your modified RPF somehow not compatible with the latest version of GTA V.

Usually this means you didn't copy new version of update.rpf after last GTA V update. (OpenIV must show you a notification in this case)

Also, maybe some mod corrupt your files.

If your game crashes after R* logo this is not OpenIV.asi issue.

I reinstal it like 2-3 times same stuff, I don't have antivirus.

I don't know what should I do, I really need it to work.

 

The ctrl+c command you've told me was not working this is what I mean with that.

 

It's kind of creepy the openIV work for 2-3 mins I close it or it close automaticaly and after that i get the first error and after I restart my pc it says the last one.

I reinstalled it worked for 2-3 mins reopened the openiv for 10 time workd perfectly now i get the error and here you go:

disable your antivirus

I reinstalled it worked for 2-3 mins reopened the openiv for 10 time workd perfectly now i get the error and here you go:

 

maybe the antivirus of Windows 10 has something to do with that, try to uninstall it, disable your antivirus during the setup and during the download. Just in case. Cuz this happened to me too.

I understand that you are in the process of researching map editing, and have several different file types to research. But I have a request. Can you guys focus on import/export .ytyp files for now, then .ymap second, and then the model formats?

 

The reason why I ask is becauseif we can at least define models, we can make small maps with custom models. Like race tracks for example. I know that it is messy and unoptimized, but it is something. This way we can get FiveM maps working without FiveM. Temporarily, we would have to use scripts to handle the object placements, but we would have something.

No. The reason is simple, we really need to make new release as soon as possible. As you may have noticed the last version of OpenIV was released a four month ago. And I don't want to postpone release even further.

Currently, I work on next version, there is not so much left to implement, only two big features and few minor.

The PSO implementation (.ytyp/.ymap/.ymt) will be the first thing we will start right after OpenIV 2.8 release.

Hey there... so I want to modify the audio files for the radio stations. Some tracks, ESPECIALLY Taylor Dayne's "Tell To My Heart" are outright horrible and I want them to be replaced (I just didn't mind the DJ introductions of the songs).

 

Like for example, I replaced the aforementioned song with Taylor Swift's "Out Of The Woods" (yes slightly horrible choice but better than the one I'm replacing).

 

I did what the tutorial video on editing .awc files said and when I attempt to open the modified .awc file in OpenIV, it gives me a "Stream read error".

 

In the fear of the game crashing I popped the original back. Did I do something wrong? Or is my song choice too long? Should the song be the same length as the one I'm replacing? Or did I forget something?

 

NOTE: I didn't edit the .oac, I just directly changed the .wav files.

The next version of OpenIV will help you set correct permissions to your game folder. And you no longer have to run OpenIV as Administrator.

Does anyone have a zip file containing the OpenIV install directory? Unfortunately I found out that OpenIV's website is the only thing blocked by my school (literally just OpenIV, says its anti virus protection). The update destroyed my install directory because of the block.

Is there a reason why the Package Installer doesn't give me the option to install into the 'mods' folder sometimes. I have the mods folder there but it's only giving me the option to install into the main directory.

This is not how you get your issue fixed. First of all, can you please tell what is antivirus are they use? (You probably can show us the screenshot where is says about virus).

Second, what exactly is was wrong with update? How exactly it was destroyed?
