Is it possible for the search function to look inside ytd files for individual textures names as well?

It is not possible right now, it is on a "to-do" list for a long time.

Dilapidated

Support for .ymt editing will be after 2.7 release. We have everything we need, the only thing is left is implement it in OpenIV.

I know you get asked when ymt support will be included a lot. I understand these things take time, my question however is concerning the quote above.

"We have everything we need, the only thing is left is implement it in OpenIV."

Do I interpret that correctly as the method in which to decrypt a ymt file has been found and created BUT has yet to be implemented into OpenIV natively?

The reason I ask is because if the decryption method is already established you could potentially decrypt the ymt files and post their data online now. Even without having native OpenIV support just knowing this data would significantly help the community in many many ways.

Anywho keep up the great work, can't wait until the next release!

Any progress about the update?

I'm sick again so not able to do anything. Other people are busy with work etc...

So, you need to wait a little bit more...

Do I interpret that correctly as the method in which to decrypt a ymt file has been found and created BUT has yet to be implemented into OpenIV natively?

Yes, and no. Those files not encrypted actually, but this is not the point. All PSO (ymt, ymf, etc) files have one concept how the format works, so same like with resources we the only thing we need to support specific file is the object structures inside this file.

Let me explain, the way we work and open for example levels.ymt and carcols.ymt is the same but the structures are different, so if we can open levels.ymt does not mean we can open carcols.ymt also.

So, even to just provide extracted data from ymt files (as xml/meta) we need first to describe it structure.

At the current time we can't provide extracted data to you, sorry.

I know I promised all the stuff a long time ago, but sometimes the things didn't work as we plan. Personally I want to release new versions and features more often than we do now, but external circumstances do not always allow us to do this.

That's similar to audio config files in GTA IV - GAME16.DAT for example. There are lots of structures to be decoded and I only decoded 3 of them: cars/bikes, helicopters, boats.

That was an incredible amount of work.

Hey, so I wanted to mod gta 5 on pc, untill I realised that I wasn't able to drag and drop or copy paste. So I looked on a forum and I saw that you shouldn't run openIV in administrator mode in order to drag and drop. But if i don't run it in administrator mode, I get this error message saying : ''Error: OpenIV don't have acces to work with this folder. Run OpenIV with administrator rights''.

What should I do?

You can give yourself permissions to this folder. Try this:

Hey guys! I recently started try modding Max Payne 3 models using the GIMS Evo, I modded a weapon and everthing worked in the game, but when I tried export character models (For example in image the Max's model) every time the model turns flip like 90 degrees to the right, in game the model sometimes turn to be invisible and there is a possibility to MP3 crash. I guess this is a bug because I simply open the model and export without editing.

This is what happen when I try use exported models in game. (usually crashes in cutscenes)

Team from Uraniom techology already created custom GTA V Player/Ped Models.
Now it's available to put 3D scan of your face into GTA V.
Take a look : http://uraniom.co/

Or maybe it's just NG coming up with random stuff. He actually does it.

Also, what the hell is this format? V uses AWC's.

Hi, I didn't exactly see a place where there was a "forums" area besides this.

So, I was wondering when the next update will be.

Specifically for the "OpenIV.asi" which is used for GTA:5.

I only ask because it crashes my GTA:5 when I use the "OpenIV.asi"

But, that is the only way to be able to use the modified RPF's.

If you could please get back to me with either a direction to the proper forum.

Or possibly the next release date where the "OpenIV.asi" will be fixed.

Thank you.

-Jordan
