Installed update, now it crashes everytime I try to open IV models.

EDIT: Tried running in admin mode, still crashes.

Wouldn't it be possible to then just export the DX9 converted texture?

We can't export Dx9 textures as Dx11 format. Btw, what output format are you export? Did you try both PNG and DDS?

Theoretically export as PNG will give you same result as converting to Dx9.

Hey Good-nts, A question, am I the only one who has the openiv error when trying to replace one livery or add? I have always an error and closes openiv, I have 8gb of ram and gtx970

When exactly error appears?

Anyway check if it was chenged in latest update.

getting identical error installing only 3 4k res vehicle textures

(i also have 8gb of ram and a gtx 970)

Check if it was chenged in latest update.

I care about it, does this audio metadata also control vehicles being linked to engine sound containers? Is there any chance of it being available for editing? What kind of programming / help do we need for it?

Metadata controls everyting what related to audio.

Somebody need to research it to make it editalbe.

I don't know when my team will have time for this, I've never like this metadata format.

For instance, I've added in new audio containers to the streamed_vehicle.rpf instead of replacing current native ones. I want to link them to new and existing vehicles. Where is the audionameHash in the vehicle meta data file being defined at? Is it in the binary audioconfig.dat4.rel or game.dat151.rel files?

Proabable in game.dat*

recent update totally messed me up at first but I think it fixed itself. restarted my computer. then another update came in so I imagine everything is good.

Works fine here, try to run OpenIV with admin privileges.

Yes, there was a bug, it was fixed after few minutes.

Installed update, now it crashes everytime I try to open IV models.

EDIT: Tried running in admin mode, still crashes.

What error it shows? What modesl you are trying to open? I have checked some vehicles and it works fine.

Now everything must work fine. (I hope)

Today we released very important update. Recently we discover major bug in our resource code for GTA V, this is mean all resources which was saved by OpenIV before this update was not fully correct. Basically they utilize much more memory than needed. Also we improve memory usage during reading and writing resources, this mean you will see EOutOfMemory error less.

Also, this update bring to you ability to view zModeler GTA V models in OpenIV viewer.

Okay, I see.

You can set PNG as default format for Tools in options.

Or, you can export embedded textures from "More information" screen in models viewer, it will allow you to select output format.

GooD-NTS Any news on viewing .ymt files ? If we have ymt viewer then we can make new .meta files with values from .ymt files.

@Cyberzone2
It won't be a big problem, we can copy .ymt info and save it without encryption.

The Update was installed on my System a few minutes ago, and now it crashes every time I try to replace textures.

It shows a similar Dialog Box to the one Nico posted above.

I can't say for sure, probably viewing will be possible in this year.

The exact next version will have no support for PSO files (.ymt)

Interesting, according to your log OpenIV is crashes while trying to replace file. Probably it was unable to open file for write.

Try do this thing: Extract this texture file (.ytd) and then replace it in archive.

Make sure your archive is not used by anyone expect OpenIV.

Yes. But we can make .meta file then with values copied from .ymt. And import it in update.rpf then it will be overwriten by new .meta file

The newest update solved my "EOutOfMemory" issue with importing liveries into a vehicle. Keep up the great work GooD-NTS!

Will next update also have a OFT export option?

No, it won't. Before we can bring OFT format we need to have textures (OTD), models (ODR) and collisions (OBN) first.

Hi guys i was just wondering if anyone has any insight as to why OpenIV randomly closes once it has completed installing, I have seen one or two comments here and there that seem to have had the same problem although none of them have got any solutions. I have tried running the installer as an administrator but seems to still have no effect and have also tried disabling my antivirus software(AVG). So if any of you have any info on this that would be greatly appreciated.
