Rockstar Whorehouse / Retail version most recent patch.

Yeah, Rockstar is lazy enough to not push such small update for Steam.

Today we are proud to release OpenIV 2.6. It took some time, but now you will be able to edit RPF Archives in PC version of GTA V. Currently we come with temporary solution, which requires ASI plugin for the game. When you are try to edit RPF Archive, you will see notification about installing plugin. You need to install an ASI loader and OpenIV plugin, otherwise your game will not work with modified archives. With installed ASI loader and plugin, you will not be able to go into GTA Online. This will keep you from accidently banning and GTA Online will be protected from modifications.

Besides RPF editing, we are also added support for GTA V PC files in Drawable, Collision and Navmesh viewers, so now you can view some models. As always, the full change log is available here.

Agora vai.

So, say I edit a file in the x64m.rpf. Then in a future patch, this file I edited previously is updated and now the game reads it from update.rpf. Then I will need to edit the same file inside update.rpf, right?

Delete the old one and start OpenIV, it'll prompt you to download the new asi.

Just look at them giving us beta updates. :p

Amazing progress for V modding though, a LOAD of issues can be solved/test-driven with this, like the shadow cube issue, etc.

Is there any way of reloading while ingame without restarting the game ? Loading times are killing me just for simple handling.meta edits.

Something that you could've found out very easily using search. It's a compressed .meta file. According to SonOfUgly you could simply override them using a .meta since they're read the exact same way as a .meta file. In the original unpatched PS3 and 360 version popgroups and wantedtuning were .meta files instead of .ymt.

Looks like that's not the case (pretty sure they did it with the PS3/360 versions, but it's been a while so maybe I'm remembering wrong). Still may be able to create .patch files for them, though the PC updates currently aren't using any .patches, and without having the .ymts decompiled it'd kinda be a crapshoot trying to patch them correctly.
