If this video is true and the handling file has been modified successfully, this is a major step to GTA V modding! Looking forward to more info.

if this is considered advertising etc then i'll remove it

i can never get that darn youtube code to work

been helping alot with openiv it had a critical bug i discovered that caused only goodnts to be able to edit files if i did it and tried them the game would crash

In your video I noticed that the roof still doesn't deform, do you think this will ever be possible?

So what is editable inside the .rpf files currently Models, textures and sounds are obviously uneditable yet, but if we could have a vague list of what is editable and what is not, would be great.

Thanks.

Since close to every file, except some obvious stuff, is a "text" file in GTA V read : editable like a text file, you aren't helping much.

Hey guys,

We need your help to test something.

You need to do the following test:

While loading you will see messages on left side of screen, you need made screenshot of what you see.

For example you will see "???" instead of "Home":

Please post your screenshot and provide information about your Windows:

- Windows Version

- Windows UI language

- Windows default locale

Oddly the game went into loading screen immediately, couldn't choose Story, Options and so on. And the loading screen is different, this type of loading screen only appears for me when ingame loading another savegame, usually I have a fullscreen one with tips for GTAOnline or whatever.

Is this by any chance a wide scale test of replacing stuff using a modded update.rpf?

No i think it has more to do with with multiplayer (read : avoid kids trying to ruin online) and crash testing.

I had a few mods installed, so as instructed I took them all out along with asi loaders and everything. I checked file integrity on Steam so it would redownload the intro video (which I removed with an utility). Probably unimportant for this purpose, but better safe than sorry. I'm saying all this to assure you that I didn't gloss over that part of the process.

I put your files in the root folder, your update.rpf on the update folder and booted up the game. I was logged into Social Club offline and the game went straight to the story mode loading screen. Tipically what happens when I boot with launch option -scOfflineOnly, but this happened with the launch option left blank.

The message on the left side of the screen said "Home". Here's the image: http://i.imgur.com/LK7RqAO.jpg?1 The game loaded into its usual quicksave normally, no apparent problems.

WINDOWS: 8.1 Professional 64-bit

LANGUAGE: English

LOCALE: Brazil

If that looks incongruous, it's because I set my applications and Windows as a whole to English, which I prefer. But the computer reads my region as Brazil. Same as user TrustedInstaller right above this post, it would seem. *high-five*

Windows 8.1 Pro x64. System language, Steam language, the game language all set to English US, but system region is set to Russia (still I have English set as primary input method). The game is from Steam, the version is the latest (I see 350.1 in the launcher, don't know what 350.2 are these guys around here talking about). No other plugins, loaders or hooks are installed.

"Press "Home" to open Social Club and see your Profile, Friends, Crews, and the GTAV Store."

PS. Love that old-style loading animation. Glad see to it come back.

The new loading screens are there because of that cheap-ass main menu.

Yes, but I guess it's not very verbose:

Init finished
