Nice work! Tried replacing a texture (uppr_diff_016_a_uni.wtd) with a PNG, and it looks like the game doesn't load it. It is the serbian Jacket that you steal from a guy in a mission, I move trough the clothes but it is not there... weird.

Anyway, nice organization and all icon14.gif

I have a problem with replacing textures too, they just don't change ingame.

Sometimes the program crashes and says I can't open some file because it is being used by another procsess (while it's actually not).

And then when I quit it it says that there has been a memory leak.

Cool if you would fix it soon, really looking forward to import my own clothes to the game.

Yeah, just tried replacing Claude's hoody and nothing changes. Now it loads but no change at all, where in openIV I see my new texture correctly dontgetit.gif

I'm confused also, I extracted WTD (backup) extracted PNG, edited, with same nickname, went to Edit the WTD in OpenIV, replaced the texture, saved WTD (MSDos windows opens up, Everything 'done', I press enter) I close OpenIV, and go ingame...

Same problem here, replace texture (png, same size, rebuild archive, ...) but nothing happens in game.

I tried with "playerped.rpf" (wich I assume is Niko's clothes and body) with his head and costumes textures.

When I open the edited file with SparkIV 0.5, I can see the new texture I edited... But in-game, there is no change (original texture).

Rebuilding "componentpeds.img" don't works (can't reopen the file after rebuild - OpenIV crashes).

When I change the textures then rebuild the archive "componentpeds.img", the file I edited loses attributes.

I edited a texture in "f_y_stripperc01.wtd" with the attributes "Resource [version:8]" for the original unedited file.

But when I change the texture and save (not rebuild), the attribute changes for "No".

Also, the new rebuild "componentpeds.img" is 1.249.574 kb where the original is 625.046 kb ! (not happened with "playerped.rpf").

When I open it with SparkIV 0.5, I can see the new "f_y_stripperc01.wtd" is 610 mb (almost the size of the original .img itself).

OS : Vista Home 32

Ho, and it's cool to see a release of OpenIV finaly !

----

Edit:

With textures on High in the game settings, new textures appears (at least for Niko's face), but only from a near distance from his head :

from far - from mid - from near

Also, the eyes turns to dark, but it must be a mistake by myself, because the textures I created has not the same alpha as the original :

When opening playerped.rpf:

Time: "20:15:39"

Type: "EAccessViolation"

Message: "Access violation at address 005B4C53 in module 'OpenIV.exe'. Read of address 00000000"

Additional information:

Address: "0x00000000"

Procedure: ""

Unit: "", Line: "0"

Using XP, SP3 if that helps.

Like everybody up, I succeed in replacing the texture by a PNG (same resolution, same name, same type of clothes), the DOS save command works, But I then can't open the file anymore, nor with OpenIV nor with Spark0.5, and I see a "Memory leak" window when quitting OpenIV.

In game, it doesn't work either. Changed textures just disappear.

But Great tool, I'm sure it will be fixed soon. biggrin.gif

Ive managed to replace textures using the " EDIT " Function instead

of using " Replace " Function, once textures are imported i rebuilt the

.RPF which worked See HERE >> Texture Imported Successfully <<

Although once in game there are no changes..

Same as you I succeeded to replace Roman's face with Brucie's.

But in game, no change.
