radioman
Do you have a valid path for storing recorded videos?-ie. the videos folder. If you have it set up to store it to an external hard drive or a flash drive, that is not connected to the PC, it will not work. I know, I made that mistake a few times-I had it set up to store to my "M" drive-which is an external hard drive, but I didn't have it hooked up to the PC I was using, so it did not work. Hope this helps. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/387823-why-wont-fraps-start/#findComment-1058812783 Share on other sites
Chewie
Are you sure you are pressing the ' Video Recording ' button ? Yea I reset the hotkey from backspace to f9 and it recorded once for like 5 seconds, does the problem have to do anything with disc space? I dont have an ati or nvidia card. But with the trial it worked fine without the cards. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/387823-why-wont-fraps-start/#findComment-1058812788 Share on other sites

radioman
does the problem have to do anything with disc space? Yes, of coarse it does, it has to have someplace to store the files(videos), right?. The file size is large-like over 2GB for 1 2-min video. or a couple hundred MB for a 30-sec clip. So you need plenty of hard drive space to make it work. Hope this helps.
