launching of game hang on me

I installed the game perfectly. however, when i tried to launch the game, it kept hanging on me and shown black screen. Sometime, i can just hear the music but no image were seen.

 

At one point of time, my firewall trying to send packet of GTA IV and i clicked ok. next after going back to game window, it just shown black screen again. after rebooting for 2-3 times, it still appear not to launch.

 

my pc spec is above their specification.

Core 2 Quad 6600

DFI - Lan Party DK P35-T2RS

Corsair 4GB ram

Antec Trio Power 650w

XFX Geforce 8800GT 512 Alpha Dog Edition

have you tryed running it as a administrator

Have You tried to configure your firewall? Some people with Kaspersky had problems.

I allowed inbound & outbound for RGSC.exe and GTA IV.exe in my Interenet Security´s application control.

Now it seem to work quite well.

 

However I had no idea why my game can hang on me and show corrupted image. Happen twice tho and it hung my whole comp.

Anyone got the port for RGSC or whatever I need to add?

 

Got the same problem.

 

Btw, my antivirus is NOD32, should I add RGSCLauncher and RGSC.exe as exclusions?
