Trixter, I see you're too dumb to understand a joke. I'm still waiting for your benchmarks about your unsubstatiated remark about AMD processors, as of now, since you seem to be living in the past (and seeing that I still own qnd use an Athlon XP that I bought years ago should tell you that I'm not interested in your lousy religion wars, yet you apply your blindly faithful logic to others. Way to go, Mr Taliban). Benchmarks are historically considered objectionable, yet they're the accepted means of establishing performance. And you know what? Benchmarks tell me you're a liar, so stop dumping names casually because you've only established the fact that you've got a big mouth applying circular logic to your religious beliefs.

As for the other guys who claim that my performance issues are down to a bad machine or bad maintenance, READ THE ENTIRE POST BEFORE POSTING BULL and make yourselves look like chumps because I'm not going to repeat what I already said and that got unanswered. Stop being lazy. The reality is that GTAIV code on PC runs like crap and that bugs are certified as being existent by scores of people, and it deservedly reflects on both sales and reputation and no amount of fanboysm will change this situation. GTA may have no future on the PC because of low sales, but this is generally what you get when you're unable to code an application able to run properly on a wide array of machines. They're not selling an expensive buggy application to control a laser cutting machine which requires a dedicated server: that's a niche market with a limited choice, where the user can be cheated because they know more about how to treat metal than how to treat computers. They're selling a buggy game in a market where choices abund. There's a lot of difference in selling horizontal and vertical applications, but somehow Rockstar seemed to forget it when it came to releasing GTAIV on PC.

MasterK, I do not tell you what to do: you've got your own head to decide, so do what you wish.Reread my post and tell me where the hell did I tell anyone what to do. You won't see signatures asking for boycotts or preaching about what to do, and I don't have to reread what I wrote to understand that you lied about it. Read better, next time. I share my opinion and it may be a vocal one, but everyone's responsible for his/her actions and I know it perfectly well.

As for the fearing me, there's no reason to do it, I don't know how the hell you could come out with such a stupid consideration. It must be because you think I that I'm trying to scare you with my non-existent omnipotence. If you really think I am that dumb you're way off mark. I'm only sharing my personal experiences and my own disappointment, and nowhere I asked anyone to do anything, although I'd be happy if people stuck to well known, established facts that can be proven with the scientifical method, which is the only one able to guarantee constant results to a satisfactory extent. Instead, I get stupid religious wars.

As for Teh Internets, you're right about being suspicious, but if you cared to watch about some of the peculiar hardware and software I use (some of which is very far from being widespread) and you'd read a couple of things about it you could decide on your own I'm not lying about myself, or about my PC. Apply logic and do research, and you'll have your reward. Apply laziness and you'll only end up blindly accusing people with no backing data to support unsubstantiated claims and self-defeating hypothesis.

But since you know that piracy isn't the issue that's going to kill PC gaming, still I don't understand your outburst about most of the people here being complaining pirates. It was a poor accusation completely devoid of logic. But I guess that lots of people interested in the game will be pirating it before considering to buy it to see if it works properly because of the widespread reports of problems, and even if it works properly they will "forget" to buy it. Rockstar will then have to swallow a cookie of its own dough. I'm not in the lucky ones who are able to do such a thing because I already bought GTAIV the day it came out on the shelves, as some loyal customers do, and I feel treated like an idiot by Take2, so I'm happy those guys are getting what they deserve, and that makes a lot of difference with Cinemaware which got something undeserved. A lot of other technical savvy people share the same sentiments because they have the same issues. I never had issues before with other GTA titles, so as a satisfied customer there was no reason to be vocal. I can't accept being treated this way by a major software publisher, so I speak about it. People agree or disagree? It's not a problem. They can decide for themselves as I can do for myself.

That said, I wish happy holidays to you and your family too.
