Sub12
I am trying to connect with my friend in the same building but Multiplayer is just not working. The thing is we are on the same network, but we have different IPs connected through a Switch. Mine is 172.16.1.88, his is 172.16.3.88, for example. Now some games have the option to connect directly to an IP, while other games (such as COD:WAW or Warcraft III) connect by using Battle LAN, Hamachi or the like to emulate a proper LAN. Nothing is working for GTA IV multiplayer! Any suggestions? Both of us are using Vista 64 Home Premium, he has Steam while I have the retail DVDs. Turdist
it seems alot of people are having problems with the multiplayer in general. I am considering using hamachi or similar because the in-game browser just does not cut the mustard. I cant connect to any game because it tells me "you have been removed from the game" I'm sorry I couldn't help, but know that you are not alone. Game does not work through hamachi, something to do with GFWL ignoring the hamachi connection. Sub12
Just for the record, there are no games appearing in the lobby at all! It seems like actually connecting after that is an entirely different problem. LIVE works fine though, although it's quite laggy (my connection probably), just that we can't get LAN working.
