LMAO Well duh, the only thing that happens in FC2 are 2 black dudes sitting in a cabin all the time, that sure as hell needs a lot of processing power anyways, why overclock with that CPU ? Only CPU took it from 2.8Ghz to 3.8Ghz and rebooted. it locked up. so I hit the Clrcmos button. And it hadn't recovered since then. seems it just stays on the Bios Screen Words cannot describe the level of stupidity you have displayed with doing this; God himself was shaking his head at the time thinking "2.8 to 3.8GHZ? I wouldnt even attempt that" You have put to shame the human race as a species, and we have now fallen behind primates because of your incompetence. I cannot fathom the mind behind this heinous act of complete and utter disregard for all sanity. Please... we beg of you... for all of humanity... for every living human on this planet... do not touch your computer again. Leave it alone. Think about your actions. Nah, its my fault for purchasing a sh*tty 30$ ussrpsu from staples. (Ok it's indirectly gtaiv fault, for it pushed my PSU load to 90%, what no game had done before...). Last time I spend 30$ on a PSU. Rated for 465W my ass... it blew up (after 2 weeks of randomly shutting the comp down) at 90% of a 320W load... 465w... yeah right... My only gripe with gtaiv is the limited gameplay (not much to do when the story is done). And I just wish it would stop lagging my comp to death while just being a blank screen. I'm not on his side, what he did was pretty stupid but maybe he didnt know much about oc but gave it a shot, cause I for a fact don't know much about oc so that's why I wont oc. Look DOnt try and get more speed out of you PC for GTA IV by trying to Overclock, you may end up with no Gaming rig over Christmas Just Like me. lonelywalker Posted December 24, 2008 Share Posted December 24, 2008 enough joking of him... firstly heartfelt condolences for your dead cpu.. actually babarian you can take this as a good luck and have a start like, see a lot of people out there are waiting to upgrade their system but still waiting only... but now you are given a great opportunity and forced to upgrade your system now you can buy a core i7, ddr3, ect.. if that cpu death did not happen you would have these i7 after a long time only i guess... so take this as an opportunity and enjoy your future computer... also one more thing: DON'T GIVE UP YOUR OVERCLOCKING WISH...DO IT WITH HELP OF A TRAINED AND EXPERIENCED HAND. I nearly closed this when I saw it this afternoon but I wanted to give people the opportunity to help him out. I think this thread pretty much shows the level of maturity of some people on this forum. Firstly stop blaming EVERY single thing on GTA 4, if your dog dies then it isn't anything to do with GTA 4 it's called LIFE and DEATH. Secondly thanks to those that helped the TC out in his time of need. Finally shame on those that decided to take pleasure in a fellow PC gamers misfortune.
