na89340qv0n34b09q340
Oh f*ck yeah! I think this'll be the first expansion pack I buy for the Sims 3. Anyway, I started playing around with 3 again yesterday, jobs are incredibly hard when you've got a garden to maintain, so my Sim lives alone, writes science fiction novels, and sells produce for a living. @ccrogers15 - I see what you mean, but a lot of Sims fans ask for this stuff. Most of the first results for "Sims 3 forums university" are forum threads with fans practically begging for this expansion pack. Here's a thread for Makin' Magic for Sims 3. And here's one for apartment life.
fridaynightscream
Yey. The post above proves my point. NOW there recycling content from the sims 2 university for the sims 3 university! OMG! Supernatural was original, and a lot of fans wanted University for TS3.
Duxfever
Honestly there's just so much you can do with expansions and life simulation games. Sure the content is recycled every generation, but from what I've seen it's not all recycled (though I do know a lot of it is), I can't really imagine any more variety in the first place. Vanilla is called "base game" for a reason, and the expansions are basically Vacation/Superstar/whatever all over again because there's really not much else you could have for a game that mimics the modern lifestyle. Whiskey
This might actually get me back into The Sims. That and Open For Business are my favorite TS2 expansions.
cidamelo
This expansion seems to be great!! I just hope there isn't just 3 people in the university like it has on nightclubs !
Vega LVI
<snip> Well. Now everyone can fail here as well as real life! I literally laughed out loud when I read that. But in all seriousness, I think that this expansion especially has a lot of potential. There is so much that can be done with university in terms of choosing classes, picking social clubs, getting drunk and partying and whatnot. I'll definitely be getting this in March. Oh, and in case anybody is interested, another expansion is coming out in June (after University Life), named Island Paradise, where I think the premise is running a resort on a tropical island for vacationers. http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2013...radise_Logo.png EDIT: Image caused a massive page stretch please resize - GTAF Staff Edited March 15, 2013 by meta187
tubbs51
Personally i like the Sims 3 slightly more than Sims 2. I do want an Open For Business-esque Expansion as well. I loved running businesses in TS2. the other EPs i like from TS2 were Seasons, and University. With both in there on TS3 all i'm waiting on is OFB. @CC: what other ideas could be done for decent expansions other than the ones fans were CLAMORING for? Sgt. Foley
I can't wait for the Sims 4 I'm gonna go get The Sims 3 because I never played it. I heard it sucks
cidamelo
I have all The Sims released, except for Diesel and Seasons (I can't find them anywhere ) and my favorite is The Sims 3 because the open city we live. But one think I didn't like very much in The Sims 3 is the humour, I think it's too childish. The Sims 1 and 2 had darker themes, and The Sims Medieval had more 'heavy' things Almost nothing wrong happens in The Sims 3!! I would like to see a The Sims with violence, more disease, drugs and things like that, but I guess most people would hate it
Rebel
So a big bump for this but I thought it was worth it. I just got given Sims 3 University Life yesterday - out of the blue (I don't have the complete collection) But I have to say from the 6 hours I played I've decided its not quite as fun as the Sims 2 version. Anyone else got a chance to play on it & wouldn't mind sharing their views?

Rewas
Ahh I remember my memories of this game. It's a cool game. Have ALL Sims 2 expansion packs. Also have The Sims 3 and The Sims 3 Pets on PS3.

Moth
So I'm thinking of getting The Sims 3 on my laptop again. Am I missing out on a lot if I don't buy the expansion packs? Yeah, you are. I recently start playing it again, and the Vanilla game is quite sparse in items and everything. I bought 4 of the expansions ( World Adventures, Ambitions, Generations and Pets) and the Fast Lane Stuff pack, added a good amount of content, and I plan on getting more. Also mods help too. Goddammit really? Because over here at my country, The Sims 3 cost $30 while the Expansion Packs cost like $40 EACH. Ain't nobody got the money for that! Will the mods satisfy me enough though? Rebel
I'm not bothered about stuff packs personally. I've also not bought all of the expansion packs since they are pretty expensive. The base game is boring as hell though now you've got quite a selection of expansions. I have Ambitions, Generations, World Adventures, Late Night, Pets, University Life. I'm looking to uh, acquire Seasons at some point but until then I'm kinda happy with University Life. The only problem I have with Uni Life is the fact I've done 4 terms now and I've still not got a f*cking degree. Kinda whack.
tubbs51
So i had an odd issue on Sims 3 University. all of my sims dormmates couldnt cook or eat due to a glitch with the counters and cupboards. Which in turn caused not one, not two, not three, not even four deaths, but f*cking five deaths. holy sh*t. Thankfully it was at the end of my sims uni life but it was stupid. Zizo008
Which one's better? The Sims 2 (No EPs) or The Sims +8 packs?
cbiscuit93
Which one's better? The Sims 2 (No EPs) or The Sims +8 packs? The original Sims is classic, and with all the packs you should have a lot of fun. But if you're looking for better graphics & much expanded game play mechanics, then I'd go for The Sims 2. tubbs51
In all honesty save up and get the sims 2 with all the EPs. If it wasnt for the load times i'd still be playing that.
Fireman
Picked up the Sims after not playing for a long time. Immediately stuck in download cycle, so annoying! Not even playing the game now xD
na89340qv0n34b09q340
Yeah, the Sims 3 is the buggiest game yet, and you can's even update the game without downloading that EA download manager crap. I had to re-install it recently because all the sims would get stuck on a lot and their cars would stay in the parking lots after I fixed it, and then the whole thing would just gradually turn into a mess. After re-installing there's a bunch of EA store content everywhere, and it's the first option on every clothing and furniture section, and it's just another thing to click past. Which is why I prefer The Sims 2.
Fireman
Well that as well, but I ment more as in downloading mods cycle. Keep downloading mods, hardly playing the game. I have the game but prefer using a complete installer so used that instead, makes it a ton easier. It works alright but when it start loading custom content it goes soo slow. I even had to tune down the graphics on my PC which was built last week.
Prah2013
Oh, I didn't know there was a The Sims-thread here. I'm an avid player of TS2 but I also play TS3 sometimes. Also, there should be a The Sims/GTA team to make the GTA worlds in TS3 (using CAW, Create A World). I know that there was a guy who started making Vice City in TS3 (just google The Sims 3 Vice City and you'll find it). But also perhaps the other way around, creating the neighborhoods of TS2 or TS3 into GTA?

GTA3Rockstar
Damn, I remember being into the Sims quite a bit back when I was 10/11 years old when it first came out. Always checking out - http://7deadlysims.com/sds/ and other websites, for new add ons to the game. I had all the original expansions and tried out Sims Online but never got into it. Then tried Sims 2 but my computer at the time didn't have a DVD drive(lol) and when I got one, the game played like crap and I haven't really bothered playing it since. Maybe a few times but nothing like before. Sims 4 huh? Should be good. Might actually get that and play it, whenever it comes out.
