GTA3Freak-2001
Mods are all well and good but you really have to keep up with the Expansions to make use of the latest user made mods and content.
Democrab
Two good things for Sims 3 players. Any bugs we have, will be fixed as we don't have the final version unless you have the Razor1911 version. http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=341347 And the game IS moddable. http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/inde...ic,15025.0.html
DeeperRed
Yea the Razor does fix a good few bugs and the proformance is generally better throughout. Though it does not add any more content or hair. Some say it does but there talking out there f*cking assholes. If your having a serious issue with bugs get the Razor on until the game is realeased. Zach
http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/inde...ic,15025.0.html I can't stand Pescado, the owner of that site. He's such an arrogant prick. Inge, the creator of that test mod and thread, is really cool, though.

But im looking to buy a new video card since mine is not on the compatable list for The Sims 3. Now bear with me, it said that PCI cards (not pci-express) will run on the game just have some performance issues http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...2142&CatId=1603 Would this be the BEST PCI card that you can find on the market? Rebel
I'd still think the game would run even if you didn't have a card on that list. Hell I never checked to see if my card was on the list and it played very smoothly. Even better than playing TS2.
Tommy-Vercetti19
A 8600 or 9600 upwards would run the game smoothly, Just make sure you have enough RAM. If you don't it's dirt cheap these days. Tried to download, But it took wayy to long, No one was seeding so i was getting around 10Kbps so i left it and will just buy it. Hope theres more objects in the full version. It doesn't let you play online with other people. All the online feature does, is that while you are in game and say make something custom ( you know with the recolor thing you can now use ) you have the option of uploading it to the community, while in game..hence having an online feature while playing. Tommy-Vercetti19
I just hope to God that all my money wasn't wasted on 10 buyable items. I hope the supposedly 'Real' version has more objects. At least MTS2 will have plenty of objects. Then i will start to learn how to mod. 2 days now for Ireland till release. I only have about 40€ left though. Should of pre-ordered. SovietWarrior42
I should be getting my copy today at Gamestop. I got an 8600 GT and an AMD Phenom 9600 2.3 GHz Quad-Core, I hope that's good enough. It's good enough to run HL2: Episode Two with the highest settings and +40 FPS, so I think I'm good.
Zach
Well, I got the game yesterday and have been playing it for two evenings now. To anyone wondering, it's basically TS2, only with slightly better -- and much more optimized -- graphics and about 99% of the annoyances removed. In short, they basically took all the best user-made mods from TS2 and built them directly into the game. So far, I'm liking it a lot, but knowing myself as I do, I'll probably get bored with it in a couple of weeks like I always do with all Sims games and expansions. But if you are into building or especially recoloring (which I'm not) and you liked TS2, then you are going to love TS3. Or even if you just like it a little and won't play it for long (again, like me), it's still very much worth the $50. (Stay away from the CE version, though. Unless you desperately need a 2 GB USB card, it's a waste of money.)

Woot, Sims 3 on June 2nd I'd say get that 8500GT, its close to a 9400GT that my friend has and can play CoD4, WaW, etc. @Zach: Yeah, only a few changes are apparent to us, but they've completely revamped the engine which was starting to bump into limitations and stuff, I can't wait to see what's possible with this new engine. I'm waiting for EB Games/Gamestop to call me up and say that my copy's in, got the leaked version for now though.

I have that cards and it is really weak, just don't get that 8500GT card. Yeah it can play on highest settings without smooth edge on Sims3. But the fact is you can get better cards to play on other games than this.

Blind Joe Death
I totally forgot about this. I was walking past Jb Hi-Fi today and saw a poster out the front reading "Sims 3 - Coming June 4th." That's today! I didn't buy it though, I'm in the middle of exams and I know I'll get distracted from my study if I bought it. It was hard to do, but I managed. I'll be buying it next week, can't wait! It's quite cheap as well. Sims 2 was $40 more expensive. edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sims_3#Reception Reviews have been extremely favourable so far.

I use on highest settings (without smooth edge at 1024x768) but it runs pretty well. But sure will lags with upcoming expansion packs. My specs 2.41 Ghz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual 4600+ 2GB RAMS 512MB 8500GT - This is my own PC The card you stated is better than this. I couldn't use my Phenom atm, because of the massive virus and I'm too lazy to format.

Rebel
I don't know why you are fretting over this. Seriously, if you guys can run TS2 without any major problems, you are going to be able to run this game fine as well. I never even bothered to check my rig to see if I could play it, but I can play it smoothly without any problems. So its out tomorrow, so I'll hopefully be getting that sh*t through the post tomorrow!
