I just could not get Alice to work at all, I followed the tutorial step by step but no cigar, I tried to run it as administrator and no luck there either I'm not really sure what else to try I've made sure everything is there and checked the Asilog file which states the script has been loaded when in actual fact I go to use it in-game and it does'nt respond, nothing happens basically. I'm currently running Windows Vista Basic 64-bit if that's the problem but I doubt it is.

 

Is anyone else having similar problems, please let me know so I know it's not just myself.

yea same here suicidal.gif just like you said nothing happens just nothing and also i am running scripthook (just to let u know colgate.gif )

If you have the time,

can you make a update of Alice to enlabe the compatibility with the Nercopolis Zombie Mod please in 1.0.4.0? sad.gif

 

Because, I have tried to put the lua files of the Necropolis Zombie Mod in the Alice folder, and when i have loaded a savegame in GTA IV, my game is retruned to Windows, with a lot of errors. The lua files can't be reading.

 

So if you can release a little Update to unlabed the compatibility with Nercopolis Zombie Mod smile.gif

somehow my scripthook doesnt load alice.asi (.net scripthook from hazard) in the asi log alice is adressed 0x000000

and i know that this should not be the case because it is the reason why it does not work.maybe someone can help me out?i would appreciate it smile.gif

Ok, solved it.

Old Alice scripts must be updated

Alice readme:

 

Lua has no pointers so we must use lua-tables as pointers .

  Lets look for ex. into SpawnCar function in CarSpawner.lua:

 

  function SpawnCar(name)

    local p = {} -- let's declare PLAYER_CHAR table(pointer)

    GET_PLAYER_CHAR(GET_PLAYER_ID(), p) -- reading PLAYER_CHAR

fourthermore the old syntax to write floats is invalid now: f(1.35)

write floats only in normal and comfortable manner: 1.35

.net scripthook has nothing to do with Alice

to run alice all you need is Alice and an ASI loader

Player selector is a scripthook mod and not alice

You also need the newest version of GTA IV C++ Script Hook

 

and you need the newest version of asi loader

either xliveless

or Alexanders dsound.dll

this dsound.dll is the same like in the newest Alice files:Alice 0.8.0

 

And to get playerselector working you must get the newest playerselector files:

Player Selector v1.4 - By C06alt

 

And yes, updated alice files are working on my gta4 1.0.0.4 as well as the updated playerselector and also the newest scripthookdotnet mod

Hi ive done everything you did say. It don't work. I Have XLiveLess. Player selector works great but alice dont. I dont know why. Do you have XLiveLess? And i have also installed the scripthook. It didn't create an Alice.txt but it did for the player selector.

I'm trying to find Alice 0.3.3 version for use with Necropolis zombie mod but can't seem to find it anywhere. Tried using 0.3.2 version but that didnt' work so well. 0.8 did not work at all.

Could be just bugs with Necropolis mod, but it didn't feel right. Anyway, I'm updating to newest version of GTA because of multiplayer games and hoping that some day we get full working Necropolis with newest version of GTA IV.

Use 1.0.3 gta 4 and 0.3.3 Alice and it should work
