I noticed a lot of people going offline and coming right back on. I had a HUGE lag/connectivity issue, got booted off but it all seems fine now.

Well everyone, I had a family emergency yesterday and was unable to make the match. I also could not get away to post that i wouldn't be there (didn't get home until early this morning).

 

I am very sorry, but it was unavoidable.

 

I am on vacation all this coming week (not going anywhere though) so would like to see if I can get some of you guys together during the week to have aa A/G match (in part to make up for not showing up yesterday, partly cuz I don't want to have to wait a whole week).

 

I will post a date tonight or tomorrow.

 

Again, my apologies for not showing.

 

And thanks for the compliments on the vid. I am getting better, but still have a lot to learn. I am getting a whole new computer setup at home this week as well and will be able to record straight to computer which increase the quality ten-fold. I also think I need to do a vid highlighting the Pilots exclusively. THe first vid I did got a bunch of comments on the youTube page from ppl talking trash about them (based on the vid) and while I still 'Hate' them, I also have immense respect for them and even this new vid seriously does not do them justice.

 

@BoozeT: The color issue is actually because of the game display settings I like to play with but aren't the prettiest. Just have to remember to reset them when taping. And you are welcome to join the war anytime you want!

I was only there for 2 games. The Bohan one wasn't even close while in Algonquin we (ground forces) did manage a couple kills, mainly when they were out of their choppers which, while it still counts, is not the same as shooting somebody down.

 

Speaking of which, I did manage to blow johnwontscore out of the air with a rocket launcher shot that wasn't just randomly fired into the air but at the point I figured his circle would take him. He was being a peach and circling pretty low (giving us a chance, as he said )

 

Personally, I rather enjoy the Algonquin levels for some reason, always hectic and exciting.

Hey guys I had fun yesterday in the match in Algonquin.

I brought down a chopper with a rocket but didn't get the credit for the kill... he "died"...

Anyway great pilots.

I guess that with even more choppers it can be awesome.

(Didn't know we could kill them on the ground... but I prefer to kill'em in the air tbh... )

I think Lin won all three matches that I was in despite me getting in his way and causing him to crash. You guys on the ground were nicely organised I thought and I received some very accurate ground fire so well done to you. I felt guilty about repairing so often. I think it might be beter if pilots weren't allowed to repair but could instead do suicide dives once they were burning - would be a bit prettier maybe. Problem is that it's such a drag getting a new copter.

 

Sorry if I wasn't very deadly but I'm not used to attacking in those conditions, without blips, fog and darkness. Most of the time you were invisible for me in fact. I went low so I could maybe see someone to shoot at, it gave you a better chance of an rpg shot, I got out of Lin's way and I just love flying low anyway.

 

It was a pleasure to play with you and I enjoyed it a lot. I will remember for a long time diving down and getting Jude in the head in the last few seconds of that first game. That was just a speculative attack, but I got lucky.

 

Sorry if I broke any rules, but I never planned to take part in this event so I didn't study them.

Thanks for joining too! We were sitting there with one pilot in the lobby and while I know you prefer FM over TDM, I figured f*ck it, let's invite johnwontscore, and it was a LOT of fun!

 

You can see why LIN is awesome, of course, the dude just has his orbits (speed, height, angle) down pat.

 

For our part, I think after a few games we (the ground forces) figured out that cover and proper weapons make for the best games. It may seem obvious, but when it's the middle of the insanity, most people tend to forget the gameplan in TDM so kudos to everybody on the ground for pretty much sticking together, especially when they were out of the choppers.

 

john, f*cking awesome that kill you got on me dude. I forget what you said but it was something like "you picked the wrong spot" or something after I ran into the middle of the street thinking game is over, no way I'm dying

 

I also somewhat agree about being able to fly off for health, but hey it is what it is and I love the fact that it's kind of ridiculous trying to win a game against the pilots.

 

Best part is one of you always kills me when I'm being a bastard and blowing up choppers. I forget but I think I was with Scarface, FamilyDUDE and Marco and got offed, then happened again trying to throw grenades under the spawned choppers.

 

Not that it's the most glorious strategy blowing up the parked choppers, nor is stealing a chopper and trying to crash into the pilots like I attempted last week, but since so many choppers spawn in Algonquin, I figure it's fair game and makes for the most fun.
