Two Possible Hints in the Storyline

Recommended Posts

Pat

First of all, these could end up having nothing to do with the episodic content. I merely noticed them on my fi... er, sixth play-through of the story, and thought they might have some relevance.

First of all, after helping Patrick McReary clear out the warehouse in Harboring a Grudge, I heard a Weazle News broadcast on the radio. In this broadcast, it mentioned a shootout between an Asian street gang and a biker gang. Could said biker gang possible be The Lost?

Second of all, after rescuing Roman in Hostile Negotiation, I received a text message from him stating, and I quote, "I thought I had played my last card when that biker kidnapped me and gave me to the Russians!" Could a member of The Lost (specifically Johnny Klebitz) be the biker responsible?

I may have jumped the gun on this, but I believe that both of these quotes will influence missions in the downloadable content coming in February. It may not have been Rockstar's plan while creating the quotes, but chances are, they're going back through the storyline to find things they mentioned that were related to the two biker gangs.

If anyone else knows of any storyline quotes that could influence missions, please, don't hesitate to post them.

About the first idea - I'm guessing the police just thought that a biker gang took out all those asian guys, while it was actually Niko and Packie.

And about the second idea - it's possible that there will be a mission in which you'll need to kidnap Roman and then get him to those russians.

I agree with the second idea as Johnny says in the DLC trailer "I'm not in the kidnapping business dude." So it could happen.

Dunno about the first idea though.

My thoughts of weird endings for TLAD:

1. During the end Johnny tries to finish Niko and Niko finishes Johnny. Why is this weird?

Because, I know Rockstar won't let you have free roam after Johnny dies for the simple

fact that, that's not Rockstar's style.

2. During the end Johnny tries to finish Niko and succeeds. Why is this weird? Well. It's

f*cking Niko. He's the man and it'd be devastating to see him just drop to the floor

after all the stuff he went through.

Or hopefully I could be wrong and Johnny goes back to Alderney and does his thing. Or

maybe it takes place not in the beginning of IV but way before IV.

Supposedly GTA IV: TLAD is set before Niko arrives in Liberty City, this cancels-out the possibility of either main character killing each other off.

Unless of course the DLC is long enough to go that far into a scenario like that.

Actually, the story in TLAD takes place at the same time as the story in IV (wheter it will start before Niko arrives or not i don't know).

R* said that Niko will have a cameo in TLAD (although apparently not that big), so we will actually see him in a cutscene or two.

I found this while searching on google, here.

I must have been misquoted but you are in-fact right about TLAD being set while Niko is in Liberty City.

It also says that the decisions you make this time around have little effect on the story, which backs up the fact that Niko/Johnny won't be killed off.

We do get to meet Niko in some missions, It'd be pretty cool to have mission from IV going in opposite perspectives (if you understand what I mean).

You're thinking of a different broadcast, simkas. I listened to that broadcast directly after completing the mission, and an ingame day or two later, I heard the broadcast about Packie and Niko's assault on the Triad warehouse. Two different crimes.

So that basically means some missions will be the missions in IV only as Johnny.

Like the Museum mission, maybe we'll have to be Johnny and find out an escape

route away from the mobsters etc etc.

A different side of Liberty City, that seems peculiar.

Johnnys quote "I'm not in the the kidnapping business dude" might suggest that Johnny Kidnapped Roman and gave him to the Russians.

as for future DLC, I figure this. It will probrably have to deal with the main storyline.

Let me bet in the next DLC, you will probrably play someone in the storyline.

Maybe Michelle or should I say Karen. Obviously she was illegally spying on Niko, maybe she has a part in the storyline. Considerring how brave she is and how crooked and shadowy the organization she works for is, she may have some role in the story.

And might be the reference that Sam Houser was talking about to the possible tank DLC.

ooooooh, playing as Michelle would be very cool. A female GTA protogonist? Hmmmm. Kinda sexy really.

Although, I don't think Michelle's character would fit the part.

I just seriously hope they fill all the holes with TLAD and the other upcoming episode.

No, I think they'll just end up creating even larger holes.

You're second theory could be right...

In the trailer, An exact quote was " I'm not in the kidnapping bussiness, dude " Perhaps you can kidnap Roman in a mission.

We'll find out... turn.gifwhatsthat.gifwink.gifcryani.giflol.gifsuicidal.gif

Two different storylines. The GTA IV storyline has been finished for those who have played through the game. Leave it be.

I found an apartment complex(?) with all of the doors boarded up except for one which has the Lost logo on it in Alderney. To the side of that building is another building which looks like a store or a bar or some sh*t with the Lost logo on it. I haven't found any tattoo shops yet but I'm hoping they exist.

Anyway, if you read the news stories on Liberty Tree or some sh*t on the internet, you see a few articles on Biker gang troubles. Read them, they could give you some insight into future stories. I've read that Johnny assumed control of the Lost while Billy Grey was in prison. While Billy Grey was in prison, The Lost was at peace with the Angels of Death. When Billy Grey was released, I can't remember clearly but I don't think he was too fond of the peace treaty between the two biker gangs. I don't know if this will create problems between Johnny Klebitz and Billy Grey or what. The most prominent thing we can see right now is that the Lost and the Angels of Death are not on good terms. I don't see how this war is going to work out though since The Lost run Acter and the AOD are located in Dukes. I'd hate to have to travel across Algonquin to take AOD territory considering that those bridges are a bitch to navigate through, especially on a motorcycle.

I was actually thinking the other day that there's more to the U.L Paper dude than meets the eye. He has his fingers in every little pie. You can't even pick your nose in Liberty City without his organization knowing, which leads me to believe that this guy could be even higher in the food chain than we're led to believe. Now I wouldn't bet on playing as Michelle/Karen or her even having a bigger part in the story but I can definitely see U.L play a bigger part in the main storyline in the upcoming DLC's.

As for Johnny, if you play close attention to Niko's story, The Lost have an awful lot of involvement in it. They stole the diamonds off Gay Tony. Possibly kidnapped Roman. And you encounter Johnny twice. So chances are Johnny's story will cross over into Niko's. Now there are 2 missions where you see Johnny. First time where you go with him and Playboy X to that heroin deal in Bohan for Elizabeta where the deal goes wrong and Johnny has to find his own way out of the building. Second time we encounter him is during the botched diamond deal with the jewish mafia. Once again, Johnny makes his own way out of the building once the shooting starts. Then Ray Boccino sends you to whack Johnny, thinking that he ripped him off, but you end up only chasing 2 of his guys and killing them. After Ray informs you that 'his guys are taking care of it' and we don't hear anything more about Johnny's fate afterwards. Which leads me to believe that Ray Boccino has a lot left in him, story wise.

I'm looking forward to the DLC. Can't wait to see how much of the story unwravels.
