shadow85
I have this mod installed along with the enviroment mod an better city GTAIV, but in some areas indoors mainly, I will get quick shadow flickering, not sure if it is related 2this mod, any ideas? If you have an ATI card, you're problably f*cked. It's the drivers. Try updating. If it gets worse, downgrade again. ah nope, im using a gtx

Why such hostility toward good old ATI? On the 4870 I never had to downgrade my drivers. I did have a gazillion issues installing some other ATI cards, though

I did have a gazillion issues installing some other ATI cards, though It seems like a LOT ATI users have problems @ Shadow: What are your shadow settings? Low settings may cause ugly (corrupted) graphics. (lol, don't know how to explain this) Oh, and i'm an ATI user myself. I love the card/hardware. Good overclocking potential, bang for bucks. I hate the software. Especcially the new CCC. It seems like they are making it less understandable with every single update. Come on ATI! Look at nVidia! Their Control Panel is perfect! mkey82
From my experience, when talking about GTAIV, the problems are divided among nVidia and ATI evenly. While some (usually) older ATI cards have the shadow flickering issue, nvidia cards (better said GTAIV) are very sensitive to the driver version. Also, many of the issues arise when frequently changing GPU drivers, no matter the manufacturer.

FusionGamer
I tried tweak 1 but hated the motion blur so now going to try tweak 3 with it off, if somebody could modify it further to raise FPS under my GF 8400 GS that would be nice
ikt
Why is the DoF with smooth shadows better than the DoF without shadows?
CptPusheen
Why is the DoF with smooth shadows better than the DoF without shadows? Because DOF + smooth shadows is actually DOF + small amount of static blur so if apply static blur to already blurred background it results in even more blurred background

How did you configure the static blur? I want test if i can make the DoF better without loosing too much quality.

Bunz
Hey, Is there a way to disable the DoF effect from the skydome? I use the postfx from tweak 2 and i noticed that everything that borders with the skyline will get the dof treatment even if it's a close texture. it looks cheap and it ruins the whole depth effect straight up. Thx in advance.

blakrajder
I've created 2 simple bat files to ease up replacement process. All you have to do is to place bat and tweak files in main GTA IV folder and run replace.bat to copy tweak files to all locations. You can then run restore bat if you want your original files back. blakrajder
Permission for what? It just replaces files for you. I did it because I hate replacing files one after another, better to replace them all at once.

blakrajder
i mean you modified the mod thats like making a asi mod to work example with some other mod i might be wrong i never said i was right just saying I didn't modified mod. I created script that replaces original files to tweak ones. It's automated process of something that normally you have to do yourself: create backup of files in every folder, copy mod file to every folder etc. My archive contains only bat files, tweak ones you need to get from official source(1st post). So, once again. It's not modification of tweak, more like a tweak installer.
