nfshp253
so does it mean when DOF is on, the objects far away are clear? When DOF is off, the objects far away are blurred, right? Which one uses less CPU resources? Does using smooth shadows and motion blur increase CPU usage too?

It's transparent for resources

You want automatic installation, right? MagicIV is necessary for pre patch users as earlier GTA versions are not so easily moddable

CptPusheen
yes, an automatic installation, removing and easy tweak switch. this would be great. I was considering making an installer and I let community make this choice. And verdict was that manual installation is simple enough. What is more some people are afraid of exe files so left it as it is

buzbegone
@Vicetopia, looks like you're panning the camera around Niko at a quick rate to create the effect Notice the gravel on the ground going into an endless spiral
CptPusheen
It's even funnier that middle of this spiral is not exactly where Niko stands but slightly to the left. So what was the axis of this merry-go-round?

Psychotic Bison
This tweak is a must-have. Makes the game look a lot better. Of course, if FSAA worked it would be even better, but hey, I'll take what I can have. Great work mate, thank you.
swelnet
Hello all! Here I made a little package with all tweaks included and the original files, just in case. You can get it here : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=O4RR2ZXW Of course this link can be pasted on the first post to make it a bit easier to have all tweaks in a row. Greets from France! Swelnet. BTW, it would be really nice to have an *.exe with a mini menu to run the tweaks and maybe other tweaks found from others (like that -norestriction thing, water details etc). MACtic
How do I change between different Tweak versions? Will it be ok just to replace visualsettings file or do I have to run magic file and copy all files over again?

Sometimes the distance textures look blurry (unloaded), but the DOF blur makes it unnoticable.
ron123
Sorry to be kind of a prick, but I have to ask about the top Flashing Lights of the police cars, it looks that the blur effects them, any fix?
Arkangel
the depth and motion blur seem notorious, but the smooth shadows not really, anyways, this is awesome tweak, a very well done one.

It was already discussed in this topic: One thing i've noticed, used tweak 5 and now tweak 1... that when in a police car the lights blur but the car doesn't. Is this how it should be? They go a bit ghost like at speed and it does look a bit odd and ruins an otherwise good effect Just want to know if i've done something wrong or its meant to be like that, Cheers! I know that police lights are blurred too. It's known issue... It's caused by game itself. Apparently police lights are treat like different/separate objects. Arkangel
you know waht, these tweaks actually solved the moving ground issue, i mean, sometimes i was just standing somewhere and the ground would elevate up to nikko's neck and rapidly fade away like smoke, anyone knows what i mean? Or have a better term for it?
