In the 7300GT/C2D rig, I didn't change the rage_postfx.fxc in the win32_30 or something folder. In the GTX280/C2Q rig, I didn't change fxc file in the nv6 and nv7 folder. Because the GTX280 PC is mostly for work. I'm a graphics designer and photographer, so I work at Photoshop, Illustrator and Fireworks for hours on end. The 7300GT wasn't much of a card to play around with high resolution images and designs. Plus the GTX280 has amazing draw times in Photoshop, CorelDraw and 3DSMax. I think what's happening is the effects 'piling up' onto each other so the output is so blurred and had too much motion blur. I tried reverting stuff back and trying it then I got the right mix. Each to their own, but I would suggest that if you have great graphics and smooth gameplay, but the bridges, cranes and cityscape are popping in dramatically, there seems little point! uk_john Posted February 19, 2009 Share Posted February 19, 2009 Well, I use Tweak 7, as all I want is the smooth shadows, the blur and DOF just means more strain for very little gain. As I say,my priority is little or nor pop-in/fade-in, which I think totally breaks the immersion. After creating such a believable world it seems silly to me to want nicer graphics and pop-in! We all have our own level of graphics we accept, I suppose. As a retro gamer as well (currently playing Morrowind as well as GTA IV, for example) graphics don't mean as much to me, and I see the GTA IV graphics as exceptional, even if I am looking at low textures (which I am not sure I am!) All I know is that a draw of 1 and detail of 100 is better for me than the other way around! That 1024x768 is plenty good enough on my 22" LCD Wide-Screen, and that because of this set up I have smooth framerates of around 30 and no or little pop-in. DoXz40 Posted February 20, 2009 Share Posted February 20, 2009 mmm..i think it didn't work for me..at first i was having very small missing textuers now its increased and then i wanted to exit the game, when i pressed the Esc key the game freezed on a black screen..i don't know what i have done wrong: 1-i made a copy of the files that i will rename and i put them in a temp file. 2-i renamed them and copyed the files from the tweak. so now all i have to do is to rename the .OLD. files again and remove the files of the tweak or what..
