Ultimate Graphics Tweak

Question

Ultimate Graphics Tweak

_____________________________________________________

Important:Test version of tweak compatible with patch 1.0.6.0 is available. Tell me how it works. Get it HERE

Presentation in HD

What is this?

__________________________________________________

Ultimate Graphics Tweak is a little modification which allow you to enable improved post processing effects like Motion Blur and Depth Of Field.

It also smoothens dotted shadows and jaggy edges while keeping whole game sharp and clean. As a result game feels like a movie, and is

visibly smoother even at low frame rates (15-25FPS).

NOTE: To improve your gaming experience even more I recommend GTA4 Enviroment mod by kriller2 as a great addition to this tweak.

You have a choice

__________________________________________________

To satisfy all of you I divided Ultimate Graphics Tweak into all possible combinations of particular effects so you can enjoy only those

you really like. Just look at the table below and decide which tweak suits you best. If you want to check more than one option just install one

of those tweaks and then overwrite files from another one, it's safe.

I've been a fan of the GTA series (especially Vice City) for years and now need help from other players.

I'm conducting a study on violent video games for my senior project and would very much appreciate your participation.

If you have 5 minutes of your time, I would greatly appreciate if you could take my survey.

Just click the link and it'll automatically direct you to it.

Does it improve performance or just graphics? Cause tbh I don't need ether of these effects, blur, FOV or smooth shadows.

I'm assuming this is probably dead, but the test version for 1.0.6 - the static blur/fullscreen blur, or whatever you want to call it is still there. That's the only problem I see with it.

OK, so this works on EFLC briefly but the moment I go outside the screen turns white, though the radar and everything else including the gameplay w/sound continues to work. I think I'm on 1.1.1.0. This is using the regular tweak, not the test one.

Forgot to add that the test one doesn't have the white screen problem, but it isn't as good as the regular tweak because the depth of field is still present a little in at close distances.

This works amazingly on 1.0.7.0. I used OpenIV instead of the included MagicIV though.

I always refused to use any mods on any game as i always wanted to have it the original way, but this seems to just fix average problems what make the display more realistic. Checking it out.

Not sure if I want to post this here, since the last time a reply posted here is over a year ago. Do forgive me if I did something wrong.

It's actually pretty simple to to obtain the improved motion blur and DOF into 1.0.7.0 version of the game through editing the Visual Settings in common/data, which I assume most of you should have known. And by the way, I don't exactly know how to port those smooth shadows around. I ain't no professional modder either.

Simply copy the entire section of the #Config Values for Camera Events ( Motion Blur ) and #Misc Values ( DOF ) from the tweaked visualsettings.dat [ Used 1.0.6.0 version of the tweak, I'm not sure with the rest ], paste both of them into the visualsettings.dat you're currently using, replacing the old settings. Forget not, please make a backup of the original visualsettings.dat just in case of some mishaps during the process.

Note ( For those who doesn't know much ) :

wAcLn2V.png

Camera Events sections should be 2 lines down below #Lod distances for peds.

FRjSbZr.png

Misc Values should be 1 line below the Camera Events.

This should the result ( So far, I can see no faults ). And if you ask me, I use both RealityIV for the timecyc and VisualIV for other graphical elements.
