I purchased GTA1, GTA London, GTA2, GTA3, GTA VC, GTA SA all on the PC. Additionally, I also purchased Midnight Club 1 and 2, Manhunt, Bully (which still does not work, because Rockstar cant release a patch ffs!!) and other Rockstar games. I enjoy your games, and you are in my top 3 gaming companies, along with Valve and id Software. I have always respected you Rockstar, but with the recent release of GTA4 on the PC, you have been nothing but a big dissapointment. Back in April, I purchased GTA4 on the PS3. I thought, it was a really well made game, and I just expected so much from GTA4 on the PC, that I just didnt care if I purchased the same game twice. Its worth it, and its Rockstar, so they deserve to get my money twice. But here I am, with GTA4 on the PC, and I am just dissapointed. Unlike most users, I can actually run the game at a steady 40fps. But the game has its problems. Its badly optimised, it has a memory leak, and its not a "PC GAME", its a sh*tty console port, without much thought for what PC gamers want in their games. I spent £50 on GTA4 on the PS3, and a further £35 on GTA4 on the PC. Thats already £85 just from the same game. That is a lot of money. I live in the UK, prices are not cheap, that £85 pounds could have been used on something else, but I decided to give you my hard earned cash. GTA4 on the PC just sucks. Its not ready, and I DEMAND that you fix it, otherwise you might not see my business anymore. Why should purchase another game off you, when you cant even provide me with a decent port on the PC. Next time, I may resort to piracy just to see how good the game is, rather than running to the shop on release day and spending £35 on a game "just because its Rockstar". So I demand that you fix GTA4 on the PC. - Fix the shadows - Fix the terrible and slow camera - Fix the memory leak - Optimise the game for older and newer systems - Dont lock your game, open it, and release an SDK so people can mod GTA4 to their liking - Stick in a multiplayer option on the start menu - Fix the damn controls, let me map my controls to how I want it. I want to use the ENTER key! - And all the other issues that users are having. - Release DLC on the PC, and DONT DELAY IT Fix this game, or dont expect more business from me. Since I love Rockstar, I will not demand that you fix this game tomorrow! Ill give you 6 months to get this game fixed up. That should be more than enough time to fix this game. I will wait patiently, and I still trust you and rely on you to get this game up and running. Please dont let us down. We are loyal to you, but you broke our hearts with GTA4, so grab your balls Rockstar, and fix this game. Give us what we deserve to have. Thank you for reading. Jackmackg Posted December 21, 2008 Share Posted December 21, 2008 I even have to confess I am hoping the DLC dies a death too, that is another stupid idea that deserves to die and teach Rockstar a lesson that they shouldn't f*ck their fans over like this. Oh and before you ask, no I am not buying the DLC for my xbrick Some of here like to play the game on the 360. and the fans on the 360 dont fell the same way. they cant make every one happy. But i think dlc will come to pc. if its good. theres a lot of dlc for the 360 for a lot of games. i think they kinda test it there and if its any good pan it out to other gaming places. see if its worth it. or they get all the worth out of it and give it to us for free. i have both and i like both. GTA_XP Posted January 27, 2009 Share Posted January 27, 2009 You got my vote. The shadows looks too softie and ugly like a fat ass. The camera is too slow and I failed some missions a twice. The most annoying sh*t is the Social club. It pop every time up when I turned the pc on. So clicking the I dont agree is a good thing. The modding ability is because these tiny dicks cheat on MP. I dont understand R*, they can protect the online cheating and signle player there is no need to protect them. But yh, no one can optimize and make the game better. And they dont helping ppl. The "cant log in on [email protected] pc and impossible to the vlad mission" is not because the cracks. Some of my friends have original copie of the game and they still have bugs. I agree 100%, and I bought 5 copies of the game. 4 for Xbox 360 and 1 for PC. This isn't about piracy this is about the game actually working and working correctly for the majority. Before the latest patch I wasn't able to play the damn game without suffer through a lot of problems. I wanted to take it back and because I could not, (steam version) I became very pissed off. I buy good games, not sh*t stuffed into a box. If you want to piss off a customer that won't piracy for your game and buy more legal copies then do it right next time. The fact Rockstar just ignores and lied about a lot of things really made me decide I can't support such a company. I was a customer and you made me leave, now it's can you get me back? I don't believe so. Let me tell you something Rockstar, something you don't seem to know. It's your loyal customers that continue your success in the long run, and it takes money to make money. How you going to get there? You pull a scam or con out of your ass will only help for the short term. Long term you don't exist. As simple as that, but a lot of greedy bastards still don't get it. Is it there lack of knowing? No real business experience? Or the fact they see it as they can take advantage of the situtation?
