No taxi job?

So far I haven't find out how you can be a cab driver and earn money by collecting fares.

Is this not possible in GTA4, or if it is, how and when?

You can do jobs for your cousin Roman.

But you can't get in a cab and start the 'side missions' as they were called in GTA:SA I believe?

I mean, you could do Vigilante, Paramedic, Taxi Driver etc.. Not in GTA4 anymore?

Yes.

 

But, like Tibob wrote there are a few jobs for Roman. You can also capture a police car and do the "most wanted" missions and "actual crime". They are like the vigilante.

I think Paramedic missions and fire departmend missions are not included.

You will find things are tied into the story more and become available than in GTASA where it was simply there off the bat almost. for no other reason that to just do it.

 

You get rep with your cousin and friends then they help you = roman lets you get free cab rides and take jobs for him. I really like this versions way of implementing it and the way its move woven into the story.

 

Steel a cab, now Im a cabby .... !? Have a cousin who owns a cab firm, slowly he lets you work for him part time, ring him and he will give you jobs .... much better.

When you completed the mission 'Jamaican Heat' from Roman he will call you or send a text message and then you will have the ability to call him for some work. Then you will just need to take a cab from his office, pick someone up and bring him where he want to be. Then you will get a little bit of money, the money isn't even worth it.

 

But after Roman's Taxi Office is burnt down in the mission 'Roman's Sorrow' the possibility will go away, and you won't be able to do taxi jobs no more.
