Millenia
That 9500 is rubbish, no wonder if it doesn't run well. You paid 80 pounds for that? You so totally got ripped off. Rockstar Toronto
You can probably increase your resolution and you won't see a difference in FPS, your CPU is whats holding it back. GTA IV requires at least a 1.8 GHZ intel Dual Core Processor, we recommend a 2.4 GHZ Quad Core. punisher.ita
ROCKSTAR TORONTO please the thread below this and also "STUTTER \ LAG \ SWAP" in "PC Version" if you have time (I was right about the 22-23 FPS BUG and found the fix (-fullspecaudio)). One-time
GTA IV requires at least a 1.8 MHZ intel Dual Core Processor Sorry, I know it's only a typo but that's funny. What's wrong with AMD's dual cores if you specifically need Intels ;D Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/385305-is-my-spec-too-low/#findComment-1058779083 Share on other sites

chngdman
GTA IV requires at least a 1.8 MHZ intel Dual Core Processor Sorry, I know it's only a typo but that's funny. Whoops! That's not a typo. This game does only require 1.8ghz. Let me explain: Core 2 Duo 1.86ghz @ 1066mhz 2GB DDR2 @ 533mhz HD 3850 (sapphire AGP version) Cheap Creative Audigy SE 7200 IDE/PATA Seagate Barracude @ 250GB Max capacity My game runs excellently besides a randomly-timed (happens whenever it wants) complete lock up of my system. Occasionally it will run laggy (from launch till exit) but I find it runs the best on my box with 70mhz refresh rate, worth a try for those with stutters. Bare in mind that I have not tried upping settings yet, however Default/Auto Config works the same quality as All Low (which I play with for now for testing and troubleshooting) I suspect this is either the game having a memory leak, or conflicts with ATI Shader Model 3.0 support, as I can run San Andreas all highest settings with no issue reproducable. I know SA is way less heavy on both GPU and CPU, I only used it as an example since it does not include Shader Model 3.0 (and because tomb raider underworld froze at loading as well, another SM3 game). @Rockstar Toronto - please get with ATI to figure out what is causing this hang if the problem is not already found internally to be with memory leaks. Thanks, Brian Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/385305-is-my-spec-too-low/#findComment-1058779182 Share on other sites
