I know that you worked in past with Xbox360 file formats. Can you post some information about XTD? When I open any Xbox360 RPF file I can see lots of files wich has tag "TextureXbox". So, any way to view and edit? smile.gif (I have Xbox360 iXtreme 1.5)

I have Spark IV and WDR viewer.

I export textures, but the UV maps are not intact on import.

 

Any advice?

I have a problem. Game version is 1.0.1.1. When I'm trying to launch SparkIV (last version) I have an error "Your GTAIV.exe seems to be modified or is a newer version than this tools supports. If it's a newer version, please check an update of SparkIV. SparkIV can't run without a supported GTAIV.exe file". I have bought a legal disc. I have russian version so my version is 1.0.1.1. Help me please, guys.

P.S. 1.0.1.1 is the same 1.0.2.0, its for Russian version of the game and adds there russian language)

P.S.S I asked my friend to try the same version of spark with the same version of the game on his computer. he has the same error tounge.gif

I downloaded the latest update but when i go to import WTD textures it doesnt show them in the importer, and only allows me to import PNG type images. Anything i did wrong or something? very annoying because i was able to import them before. :[

I've downloaded latest 0.6.1, is there a way to export all audiofiles in a rpf file to wav in one single step?

 

and what means the "right" and "left", i always see two versions of a song in the "view" section, songname.right, songname.left.

Nope, you can't (yet) export all sounds in a single step.

 

And the "left and right" means what it means, the stereo is separated in two mono files.

I guess it is better for the game to have to deal with only one channel than two,

for instance when you hear the radio in the streets from differents cars at the same time.

Hi all, is there a way to make it so when I 'Browse' the tree view defaults at closed sub-trees instead of all open? It would make it way easier to go in and go where you want to be and save an infinite number of clicks for us all over time because suddenly browsing is 5+ clicks cheaper. Is it a limitation of using a tree that it must open rolled out? I hope it is possible. blush.gif

 

Love the app, about to port the buttons pics from the PS3 controller to the 360 texture directory to get rid of that rainbow and have an easier time using my PS2 controller icon14.gif

 

edit: scratch that "File pack:/dpad_all.dds.png is not a valid file name"

 

I get that error on export or import of that wtd (360) but no problems with the PS3 one - switching the two by renaming each-for-each only makes me have No Buttons in menus/on screen. Is there a reason why I can edit one and not the other? suicidal.gif

 

Edit two: I can view and export textures from any file I've tried, but edit mode fails. If I click import or export in that view, on any texture file, I get that error, it's not just that file suicidal.gif

@chngdman... I really don't want to change the workflow before I add some configurability to the application... still a while till we get there, so the tree is probably going to be fully expanded for a while. For the texture editing issue use 0.6.1.

@Starcook... my fault for not releasing that Win7 is really Win6.1 smile.gif Will be fixed in next release.

 

@ZHEKAISNEO... Russian 1.0.1.1 version will be supported in next incremental release. For now you can place an older gtaiv.exe in SparkIV's directory (altho Browse might not work as expected).

 

@GTARuss... sorry, currently I have no intentions of supporting xbox360 files. Although SparkIV did start off researching 360 files, it doesn't make sense to invest time in modding a platform that would only benefit the few. I'm sure those few would greatly appreciate it, but that time could be better spent elsewhere.

Is there a way to unlock the doors used in missions (Comrade's Bar, Bank of Liberty etc.) using this?

Thanks for your answer, aru...

 

Maybe as you know, Xbox360 can read only crypted RPF/IMG files - it means that I should use OpenIV to mod them. I tried changing some handling parameters, I edited file in common.rpf, saved it with SparkIV, but it doesnt worked. Then I saved it with OpenIV wich crypts files after saving and everything works =). So, maybe your programm can not be used by console modders...

 

But please, help me a little! OpenIV developers said that they will not support XTD files editing/viewing and any other console-cpecific formats. RPF/IMG - yes, because of this format is identifical for all platforms.

 

I know that your old versions was workable with Xbox360 file formats, also with Xbox360 textures. If you dont want to add Xbox360 functions into your great programm, can you release for public or just for me all your information about Xbox360 texture format?... you anyway dont need it now...

Yeah Yeah i know this tool is for GTA IV and incomplete but i interested in Midnight:LA .rpf archives blush.gif

 

midnight club:los angeles was created on RAGE engine and also have .rpf archives structure,

 

i think inside structure is a bit another.

Great work, aru. Really, great work.

 

I have a one question. Will you be able to manage something more with the WHM files? You know, like an editing HTML source code and add option which allow us to put new textures in virtual GTA IV webpages? It could be something like GTA IV Internet Editor. Please, let me know about this. I am really looking forward to see this!

 

However, if we edit some page in next version of SparkIV (via html code), it could be also "refresh" option to see all the changes made by user.

need some help im trying to change the textures on some cars im using sparkIV so i change the .WTD (example comet.wtd) and i save it when i start my game there is no cars in sight

is there anything i miss to fix this?
