Simulated-AI
How do i get the -norestrictions command working. I can only start the game by social club. Clicking gta4.exe just gives me club screen with play. Thanks
grimhat
go into the root of the GTA iv installation folder. Probably '\program files\gtaIV' here should be a file called 'launchgtaiv.exe' Create a shortcut of this file and add that -norestriction bit. Make sure you're already logged into the social club before running.
StoneCold_ZA
Or even easier, create a txt file called commandlist.txt and put it in your GTA IV folder and add that -norestriction command to it

Highwayman72
It removes graphic restrictions.... And what does that mean? it unlocks all the options, so you can force max detail etc regardless of system resources....
maddyyo
Whenever I try to add '-norestriction' in the target area It says, "The folder C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV"-norestriction' specified in the Start In box is not valid. Make sure that the folder exists and that the path is correct." WTF? :S
joeldsouza
Whenever I try to add '-norestriction' in the target area It says, "The folder C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV"-norestriction' specified in the Start In box is not valid. Make sure that the folder exists and that the path is correct." WTF? :S that's because you didn't hit the space bar after quotes It should be C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV" -norestrictions Edited December 15, 2008 by joeldsouza

yakhub
dude, first open the properties window of the shortcut, then select SHORTCUT tab, in that you have to modify the TARGET field, that field would have ".exe" in the end. would obviously endup like this "C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\LaunchGTAIV.exe" -norestrictions check your path.... warm regards. Roby-Master
Yeah SubyJeff! sorry maddyyo i forget to tell you this action.... you must create a file "worpad" or "text" on the desktop and than copy this file into the gta IV folder, now you should have the effects of noretrictions! (sorry for my english man!)
