If Microsofts XBox 360 gets it, then surely Microsofts Games for Windows Live gets it too?

 

Any news on the PS3 version? Or has R* forgotten about the very same people that made R* what it is today... The Playstations fan base!

A RockStar Rep confirmed that players with legal copies will get downloadable content.See this in the IGN-Digital Rights Management interview.Doubt that we will get a different DLC.So it's gonne be The Lost and The Damned i guess.Just hope it runs better than the original.

Any DLC released for the PC will be cracked and posted online as well... Rockstar really has gone overboard with the anti-piracy on this one...

Its exclusive for the Xbox sure, but Xbox is microsoft, and GTA4 runs using microsoft on the PC.

 

They better bring out the DLC on the PC... Or they would expect a backlash from all PC gamers.

I have little doubt that at some point in the future we will see the same DLC released for PC, maybe even the sony DLC too if we're lucky.

 

In fact although this will initially sound crazy and might be viewed as in the wrong forum I think its possible we'll see even more than that. The next GTA will likely use all the current tech but more finely tuned, which is another reason why I'm not going to abandon GTA just yet. Maybe we wont get another full GTA as such, perhaps its possible we could see an expansion pack of sorts, one that adds VC or another city to the map and expands on what is already there. This is already possible because that's what their basically doing with the DLC but not on such a large scale as a whole new city. I know GTA4 currently has its problems but I still have a lot of hope and interest on just where this game is headed in future.

 

Another reason why I believe GTA4 might be expanded in this way is because before we new it was LC again I often wondered at the real reasons why LCS and VCS came out. They achieved several goals I am sure, but even before it was LC for GTA4 it clearly showed to me they were not yet done with these cities.

 

Anyway I know what I'm saying sounds crazy for now, but it could be possible and extend the life of GTA4 well beyond any of the previous titles. There is still a LOT to look forward to in the world of GTA and R*.

LIVE doesnt check for the validity of the game since you are not required to enter any sort of a serial number or CD key. The authenticy of games on the Xbox360 is made using the hardware (DVD drive to be more specific), once thats hacked you can burn any game and play online as long as your LIVE subscription is paid and you didn't get marked by MS for their seasonal ban hammers.

The two episodic DLC's are exclusive to the xbox 360, m$ paid 50 million for that because they want you to buy a 360 and subscribe to live.

 

As for it coming to the PC it would still be ported by R* Toronto and distributed thru GFWL... how could that work?

I may be crazy suggesting this... but does anyone else get a sneaky feeling that the downloadable content will be combined with some kind of patch to fix the game itself? I wouldn't put it past them at the moment, if game sales suffer because of the problems, only those who can run it would consider it, and only those who can run it well I imagine. Forcing people into an expansion pack to fix the original game is just another way to kick PC gamers when their down... And it does seem to something Rockstar have embraced of late.

So...it took Toronto half a year to port GTAIV to the PC.The X360 DLC will come out in the first month of 09.They will want to do a better job this time and the DLC will be ported for 6 months too.Plus they will wait till' the X360 exclusive crap lays down.Do you honestly want to wait 7-8 months for a f**king patch to make this game f**cking plyable already?
