I have still got the Memory Leak Bug after Patch 1.0.1.0. The Game runs firstly OK but then after 10-20 Minutes its becoming slower and some textures are beeing loaded very slowly.

 

Rockstar Toronto please fix the memory Leak and the Texture Loading it is the most important thing to be fixed right now! It could also be that the Texture Loading Bug refers more to ATI cards but I am not sure.

Since I have installed the patch I had no more crashes... But the performance are always the same... But I trust in R*, i'm sure they will fix everything is bad with this game... While they fix the game, i'm doing san andreas XD

Same here, I applied the patch and now my cell phone is permently stuck out... not playable as cant do anything

 

Currently re-installing, and wont be reapplying the patch.

 

As for performence etc, I didnt notice much, but due to my system the game plays pretty smooth anyways.

the patch for myself only changed my controllers configuration around, such as on my logitech controller instead of button 1 being run button 2 is now run (which is my preference), no performance or graphical differences, fix my CROSSHAIR PROBLEM!!!! AHHH

This patch has basically been a massive waste of time, I just want to use my Joypad again, Like I did BEFORE the freeking patch. Some one from the community fixed then Rockstar break it....

 

Just sort it OUT! Using any controller to do what ever you want it to do in a PC game is not f**king rocket science. If I wanted to, I should be able to use my G25 and assign what ever controls I want to whatever axis I want, just like any other PC game. The retarded thing is most people are happy to just forget about this because "its a console port" (no excuse!) and use their joypad like the consoles do, but you cant even get that right FFS.

The game runs just fine @ 40-45fps with my new quad core cpu... playing fine with my rumblepad 2 ---> xbox360emu 1.1.zip <---- usb gamepad hack/fix

 

All settings maxxed with view @ 30.... NOT a freaking lag anymore (night, heavy rain) Runs smooth like a beer going down my belly!

before the patch i had the RESC error. after the patch, it works fine, except for the bug with the sound loop that causes stuttering every 5-10mins.

After bending over and taking it where the sun dont shine i relented to microsoft/R* and bought the xbox controller, game worked fine be4 patch, 44 fps, now stuck button in menus and stupid controller doesnt work....$180 aus. wasted thanx R*, ill never buy another game from u tools again

I own a Logitech Dual Action controller and a PS2 controller w/ Super Joy Box 5 Pro, neither of which work w/ GTA 4. I've tried everything. EVERYTHING. I even downloaded that blasted Xbox360 Controller

Emulator. Followed the instructions to the letter. No joy. Or, for the sake of a bad pun, No joystick.

 

I can't play these games without using a controller. I don't want to buy an Xbox controller because if I do, R* will never fix what they left broken.

 

If I do break down an purchase a 360 controller, I'm not buying it brand-new. Microsoft is not getting my hard-earned cash.

 

I purchased both GTA 4 and Saints Row 2 from an online retailer, I guess now I can see which one was the better deal.
