Rockstar themselves are making a patch, theres post about it everywhere on this forum. I cant help thinking your posts are some kind of a windup, but im patient and will try and help so will others on here, but I think your best bet now is to wait for Rockstar to release the official patch By the way, you shouldnt have to be running the game in compatibility mode atall. Make sure you got latest drivers, patches etc. No pirated versions (and no, I'm not accusing you) etc... Look around on this site, there's lots of threads full of people with the same problems, read what advice is already here. BigSlongsDaddy Posted December 13, 2008 Share Posted December 13, 2008 you do not need vista sp1 installed just right click on game on the disk then exsplore ,then right click on the game exe then properties then compaterblity tab run as windows 2000,the game will then install. might work for xp if you havent got sp3 for it.. See again you are not listening and only reading what you want. I didn't say the game was pirated I said your Vista is PIRATED!!! You are asking people for help telling them the wrong information and not answering questions truthfully. If you have the authentic game call technical support. End of story. If you want help here then upload a picture of you Windows Vista and GTA IV box with a piece of paper that has you tag written on it. Otherwise I have to believe you are asking for help with pirated software. I'm not gonna judge you but I'm not going to waste my time on someone who didn't even pay for the game.
