Textures: low Render: highest View distance: 1 Detail: 50 Traffic: 80 shadow: 0 Im not sure whats going on but my computer isnt even working hard when I'm playing this game. It just sort of runs the game at a relatively low fps. It is playable for my standards, but most of you f*ckers would be bitching your asses off. I'm just happy that it works. I get alot of pop in, with the roads and buildings which is why the building in the background looks dithered. I have the same processor. P4 3.4ghz Single core. I have 2 GB RAM and an 8800 GTS 640 MB HELP ME. I'm playing on 640x480 all low and it's extremely choppy. Statistics Average FPS: 15.97 Duration: 37.13 sec CPU Usage: 89% System memory usage: 55% Video memory usage: 96% Graphics Settings Video Mode: 1280 x 1024 (75 Hz) Texture Quality: Medium Render Quality: Highest View Distance: 10 Detail Distance: 30 Hardware Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3 Video Adapter: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT Video Driver version: 180.84 Audio Adapter: Realtek HD Audio rear output Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 3.40GHz This is my bench on a p4 and look at my settings and cars on 30 shadow on 0 so i don't know why all the other p4 users have too put evrrything on low .I get no pop ins no lag even on high speed or with explosions only the framerate.Fraps gives me no lower then 12 no higher then 30 outside but that 30 is on the beach .And i decide to wait to buy a new rig until the 1366 socket boards get cheaper and the i7 gets cheaper.Cause going for a quad now in a few years have to change evrything again i guess. My cpu is what is giving me low fps , im on average 30, but goes down to 20 then 15 in real heated moments. This is due to my cpu being to slow, yes that's right a E6600 2.4ghz dual core to slow for this game? It is, even a Quad core 2.4ghz is to slow. You need a brand new cpu to run this game to the max. Spend another $500 on a new Intel I7 core cpu and you will be fine. Only reason this game doesnt run well is because the playstation 3 and xbox 360 run on atleast 3 cores at 3.2 ghz and the port to pc will run the same. It is a cpu hog , extreme cpu hog and only uses the graphics for texture/drawdistance detail, and rendering. It seems everything else is cpu controlled. Theres no real significant boost for quad core as it only uses 3 threads, like a previous poster said. You're GPU and video memory are the only things that really matter at this point, thats whats going to hold your system back. Unless you have a single core processor, you wont notice much difference between dual and quad core. For some of us, a CPU upgrade means also a motherboard, memory and graphics upgrade as well. I can only speak for myself, but paying for rent, utilities, health insurance and food kind of crimps my ability to upgrade ATM. I'm glad all you people with money coming out your ears can afford to, but some of us can't, so we do what we can. heir heir, I have major expenditures too buddy. I feel your pain. Life is tough man, it would be easy if I were born in a rich family were they bought me a house and car and gave me a job in the family business llike my boss. Fuking c*nt of a bloke. Don't know why money makes people into c*ntS!!!, serious. This c*nt! of a boss was complaining to me and a co-worker how he was renovatiing his double storey home in keilor east (spending $200,000 on renovations) that's not including the Italian furniture brought in by a container into the workplace. man, you should have seen this sh*t. $20,000 lounge and a $15,000 bed. stools worth $700. His wife was spending to much money and he said I quote " I looked at my bank account and I could'nt believe what I had in there" I did'nt ask how much he had, but I expect atleast $200,000. At the end of the conversations my co-worker and I looked into each others eyes like.... WTF??? pause, then hey said"WTF??? shaking his head. These rich people live in the clouds.
